That one guy in the back ruining it.

Imagine being chased by the cops and both parties stop for that one minute out of respect
Would remind me of the end of the video for Run the Jewel's "Close Your Eyes" (feat. Zach de La Rocha):
Time Lost and Time Remembered
Almost all of them are stiff as Poles. Very cool.
Free wallets since they are not allowed to move...
We would politicize it in america , half the people would stop, half would kneel, and half would continue to fail at math .
The irony of 3 halves
This is so powerful.
I was just watching the documentary last night, “WWII in Color,” where they colorized the films from there.
I watched the part about the Warsaw uprising.
I’m interested- Where’d you watch?
Sabaton came to my mind for some reasonx. It was actually their music that made me really interested in the events of the past 2 centuries, not my school or professional career
City at war!
So you are saying I have 30 seconds to rob the jewelry store AND I have 30 seconds head start on my escape.
and you'll make it super obvious since you're the only one moving
Don't worry, they stopped aswell
i watched for over a minute. it's not that long...
Oh we do this in Israel as well!
during our memorial days, which we have two of (one for the fallen during the holocaust, and one for the fallen soldiers of the IDF)
during these days, one time the evening before and one time in the morning, a loud siren is heard and everybody stands still for 1-2 minutes. even people in cars or buses pull over (you can just literally stop in the middle of the highway since everyone does) and we have a moment of silence.
We do this in The Netherlands on the 4th of May. 2 minutes of silence to remember the victims of WO2. On the 5th of May we celebrate our freedom.
Sucks that the Soviets left the Polish to die.
They stopped their advance just outside of Warsaw and let the Germans fight the Polish so they could have an easier time overtaking the city.
Saying the Polish were left to die by the Soviets, really doesn’t make sense. Sounds as if they didn’t take part in the malice murder of Poles. Which they certainly did.
Warsaw city at war!
Being Jewish, I totally thought this referred to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
Not Jewish, but the Warsaw Ghetto uprising should always be remembered.
They chose to fight. Overwhelming odds, barely armed, but they decided to at least make them work for it. They could have gone quietly, but they chose to fight. If they're going to kill you anyway, you should at least make it hard for the bastards and go down fighting. "To pick the time and place of their deaths."
Reigning mannequin challenge champions
And then Truman wakes up
You mean like the entirety of Australia on 11/11 on the 11th hour?
We will remember them
Do people not know what a one minute's silence is?
Love the respect...
These mannequin challenges are still happening?
Imagine being at the verge of death, but the time comes and you get one extra minute to live.
Imagine being a tourist who didn’t know wtf was going on
Imagine not knowing and this just randomly happening while you're visiting the country.
I can see a lot of interesting and awkward circumstances from this -
Hospitals: "hey can you stop dying just for minute"
The Police: "that bank robbery can wait a minute"
Sex: "hey the minute is over where you going?" "I couldn't last that long"
Most people in here overestimates this a lot. While yes it's happening every year it's way smaller than described here, it's happening in only few spots, not all people are doing that, usually you don't notice that something is happening. I did it last time probably 15 years ago when I was in school but that's about it.
They should help the LGBT while there at it. Fkn homophobes
Don't confuse the population with the Party.
Lived there for 4 years and this never happened.
Have you ever stepped out of your cave?
Today, this has been posted 55 times
Glad you're here to keep track.
This is really moving. I need to rewatch those Andrzej Wajda films about the Uprising.
It’s actually not
Truly fits the sub. This is so special
All European countries do that
Not really, no... Where did you even get that idea?
Respect. Something that’s been long forgotten these days...
Sad but true
A place to find amazing things.
