Bitcoin will never go to zero in my lifetime
Because I am willing and able to buy all the bitcoin ever mined at 1 cent each. So the next time a bitcoin skeptic brings up the bitcoin going to zero argument just let them know that a random reddit guy on the internet said that he will not let that happen.

If bitcoin goes to "zero" at what point would a bitcoin collection be an exibit in a museum? It wasn't the first crypto but is the cause of the modern crypto movement. It will always have some value even if a relic of the era.

Pretty sure a flaw in the elliptical curve digital signing algorithm would cause bitcoin to drop to zero. In that cause you could still be buying, but would be unable prevent your coins from being taken by someone else.

Bitcoin have become such a big collectable that realistically it will always be worth alot. I don't think we can comprehend exactly how big it is, definitely among the biggest. Art, old coins, famous jewelry, Super Nintendo etc
It's still not that big in the grand macro scale of things but slowly getting there. If you were to for example compare BTCs market cap to the global real estate value, it's miniscule. There was a visual asset comparative representation broken down by monetary blocks I came across a while ago but forget where I saw it.

Nice idea, but theoretically and technologically it doesn't work that way. If it no longer becomes economically viable for miners to participate in the network, you won't be able to buy bitcoin. The network won't be there, and it won't be worth it for bagholders to waste their time trying to sell what they have to you, even at 1 cent each. If you want to own all of a crypto, just do what thousands of other people have done: make your own crypto and issue everything to yourself. Then put it up for sale and declare that's the selling price and you're rich.

I think, in the long run, past our lifetime, bitcoin could become more some kind of virtual numismatic. They ll be rarer, maybe to slow for future standards ... but there will be still ppl, wanting bitcoin for sure. Not only is it the first one, but it's creator sounds like a legend, a prophet. No one really know who or what Nakamoto Satoshi is ... but we all know he s the jesus/legendary hero of the crypto ... That gives that extra spice to bitcoin no other crypto has.
