Once a cardinal, always a cardinal
Except for Jamie Garcia.
EDIT: I will *never* forgive him for literally shitting his pants in the '13 playoffs. If you're sick, you tell the coach, not cost your team a critical playoff game. Even if its *10 minutes* before, you tell them. He didn't.
I want to say Yadi saw him get super emotional and signaled to Waino that they were walking him. That's my story and sticking to it.
I mean, that’s a fact.
Still coming to grips with not having Wong be the left-handed infield stick vs. Carpenter.
i’m glad he and edman are both getting full time at bats but i wish they were both playing for the cardinals
Hurts to see him in another uniform. Wong really meant a lot to me as a player
I agree. They could have afforded to have keep him.
I have an autographed ball from his MLB debut, I always knew he’d be one of my favorite Cardinals. Really hurts seeing him in a different color :(
This is the way
The Cardinals Way?
Longtime Wong Stan. Always cheered as hard as I could for the man.
He should still be a Cardinal. I hate that we didn't resign him.
One of the many reasons I love being a Cards fan. In some cities they'd boo you for leaving. In St Louis they always pay respects to former players that have moved on.
These always make me cry. Freese, Albert, Kolten... never fails
Best fans in baseball. Also most questionable front office. Okay, except maybe Colorado.
You should see the freaks in the back office
I sincerely apologize for the typo in the title, typed the Wong letter
Love how yadi stepped out in front of home plate to let kolten and the fans have their moment. Class acts all around. This is why we have the best fans in sports
It hurts my heart to see him in anything other than a Cardinals uniform. I only wish him happiness and success he deserves it! What amazing memories he has gifted us fans, dammit whose cutting the onions..
I was there for Wong’s over the shoulder leaping catch against the Cubs to preserve a slim lead. Launched the ball into the upper deck as everybody lost their minds.
Miss that guy.
Don’t mind me, just cutting up some onions over here
Also, I love Kolten Wong. Really came alive with Shildt
He's in the Wong uniform!
I've only got the radio; thanks for posting this. Love to see players welcomed back at Busch.
And I'm crying I loved that dude
He did NOT WANT to leave. And theirs gonna be a mini Wong in the next few months (baby!)
“How can you not be romantic about baseball?”
Brad Pitt in *Moneyball*
I’ll say it for the next 2 years...we’d be a better team with Wonger
Stay classy StL...love this
I love baseball
Best fans in baseball
“Best fans in baseball” may be a stereotype and a meme, but those things both exist for a reason. This is the reason.
God, I teared up watching this myself. My favorite part was how Yadi and Waino slow pitched him to give him time to collect himself and then get him out of the box. Just mad love and respect all around. And it was beautiful to see.
Damn this makes my emotions conflict haha.
The guy cried literal tears during his at bat. Great player, should have resigned him but I understand why they didn’t. This was such a human moment.
okay I cry now
I want him back :(
Class act...us Cardinal fans.
Always loved Kolten. Fun fact, I used to go to the Cape when i was little with my dad and Kolten played on the Orleans Cardinals (changed their name to the firebirds). That’s the whole reason i like the Cardinals
Hate hate hate losing him, hurts even more to see him play for a divisional opponent but at least we are classy about it
Love Kolten's play. Sad to see him on another team but happy he's still playing.
Running the wrong way in 2013 WS game 4. Ugh!
I know I'm in the uber-minority here, but I just don't understand the big deal about him leaving or his return. I mean he's a fine player but he barely was even a starting player for most of his time here. He had 500 ab in a season 1 time. He's a .260 career hitter with decent OPS but if it wasn't for his defense I'm not sure he's starting for a lot of teams. He won a couple of gold gloves which is awesome but he also had a fragile psyche and seemed brittle. Did Fernando Vina get this much love? He was probably better.
Keep your negative comments away from this Wong love fest, douche!
Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball!
