It took me the longest time to realize the carry capacity limitation only applies to Tiny creatures. so a goblin barbarian can feasibly lift 600 lbs if they have 20 strength; ...which is hilarious, and scary O.o
Edit: Huh, so it appears many people are discussing the heavy weapon property usage for small creatures. I'm glad this is a topic being thought of, though I never anticipated it.
I'm someone who agrees on the ruling for limiting heavy weapons to medium or larger creatures.
The one thing personally I can't quite get around is why some strength checks are asked of a character to lift an object or jump a certain distance when it's clear that they possess the strength and/or the carry capacity.
Yes, but the Heavy trait on weapons causes Small creatures to have disadvantage on attack rolls with them.
Which is honestly pretty bizzare. Why wouldn't they be able to commission "heavy" weapons that are sized for them? That kind of stuff would have to exist for other weapons and armor anyway. And magic items also resize to fit their user...
I have a dex based goblin barbarian. His AC is so high with his shield that even the paladin is jelous. It makes doing reckless attacks easier too knowing that even with advantage my enemies would have a hard time hitting me
I enjoy builds like that as a DM. I get to throw waves of enemies at the tank which makes the players feel badass and then threaten them with saving throws which makes enemy spellcasters scary.
If you like my art I'm very active on twitter [https://twitter.com/Uri\_V\_Art](https://twitter.com/Uri_V_Art) I do mainly D&D art, usually characters and I love to draw goblins and other short races.
This started as a doodle practice but I ended up making her an OC, still don't have a name for her but I'd love to use her in future campaigns as an NPC! Tbh I have a lot of characters saved in a folder for ''possible future NPCs'' because I love to design new D&D based characters :)
I love this illustration very much. Its so interesting at first look, but gets even more so the longer you examine it. At first the wide britches are odd but comical, then I noticed the over sized glove and it just ties her outfit all together. Then the ear gauges seal this character as lovely and endearing.
Not that much, people seem to like the design of the weapon so guess they don't care that much about ruling. And I guess it could be easy to homebrew or just say it's a longsword with a glaive skin (?)
I love your art style! Especially your usage of color, pose, and shading. Despite her stature, she seems so tough and purposeful! You are really skilled.
Just reflavor the flavor but keep the mechanics. My wife made something similar a few years ago. A hexblade tiefling but she, being a hexblade, requested that her hex weapon is a large, heavy black onyx, 8ft hunk of iron that she can carry around with her one hand, which was a muscular demonic type thing
So yeah, I didn't change anything mechanically. She just can't use shields. Flavor wise, it's described as a large Final Fantasy type weapon she drags around with one hulking demonic arm, but mechanically, she is using a two handed weapon.
That weapon is utter fantasy ridiculousness.. and I love it. That’s the great thing about this game. A tiny goblin can have 20 strength and wield a massive pole arm and the game is still fun, reality doesn’t implode on itself.
I like the concept, just find goblins being "hot" incongruous. It's like when people draw Nott cute. It's literally part of the characters arc that they are ugly lol. Certainly I think goblins can be charismatic and have a strong force of will, but even the most attractive goblins are merely inoffensive to look at.
I think a good artist can really get that "terrifying and ugly but also hot somehow" look that appeals to some people but unfortunately I haven't seen anyone bother in a long while (with any 'monstrous' race)
That's cool! In Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, the goblin race have these berserk halberdier type units. They get all hopped up on mushroom juice and swing a 12 ft. Vampiric halberd and get to attack first... brutal!
I noticed that! I thought it was weird that the artist linked his Twitter in the same thread that he was making fun of people. Usually people separate that more.

A fellow glaive enthusiast I see.
Glaives are really cool tbh
Goblin Shortstack. The weapon is twice her height and that just makes it better.

Skipped everything but thighs and hands at the gym. Not really practical, but the pants and gloves she got from the group's dwarf finally fit her.
[She's Wiry](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN7r7nk0-zc)
She's like 70% leg.
Hardwon Surefoot would be jealous of the thickness of quads
[Gotta train up!](https://youtu.be/vxwME_FhHM4)
Love your gobbo, does she only reckless attack though?
I'm not playing her but she would probably do that, goblins fear nothing haha
Need more goblins, give me goblins media
Shortstack on the attack.
Who said you could make the goblins hot?! 😋
It's my fulltime job :')
Is the weapon a glaive or some kind of sword? Either way good work
Thanks \^\^ it's a glaive yes!
There needs to be a subreddit for "little dudes with big weapons" because it is invariably my favorite thing in character art
Me: Where are we going? Her: *Bizarre Goblin Barbarian noises mixed with frantic pointing and tugging.* Me: You son of a b***h I’m in.
Get this girl r/ABraThatFits stat!
Reminds me of "Wakfu"

I look at her and the name "Vanilla" comes to mind.
"good thing i have my spin move!" -videogamedunky, and probably this character

This reminds me of~~that one Final Fantasy game~~ Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
Big baggy and bulky pants. Teenie tiny top
Why does she look so thicc?
Looks great. I wish her luck.
I can guarantee that at least 50% of the comments will say "glaive is heavy"

You should crosspost this to /r/cutegoblins. I think it would be much appreciated.
this is the one goblin you would have trouble fighting on their own
How about a goblin barbarian riding a mastiff and dual wielding lances
rad as hell! great work!
What kind of weapon is that? Looks awesome!!
Wow, I love this.
Ooo, for some reason I really like the shape of that glaive.
She’s hella cute.
I love your art style! Especially your usage of color, pose, and shading. Despite her stature, she seems so tough and purposeful! You are really skilled.
Thank you so much ^^

Yeah that's why I got into D&D really, as someone who enjoys designing cool characters this game is perfect for that
r/goblingirls
I appreciate the use of the Swordspear
Everyone talking about whether she can use a heavy weapon or not; the real question should be why is she so extra dummy thicc?
Because on my settings or worlds I make all goblins are thicc (not all of them, I'm joking but I like to draw them like that)
Stupid sexy goblin
DEXTERITY BARBARIANS FOR THE WIN!!! I'm currently running a Kobold Barbarian, it's all fun and games until he pokes you in the eye with his rapier.
Have a hard time using dex with the Giant Glaive

I'd love a drawing of my orc barbarian in this style ❤️ Not now because I need $ for such endeavors but I do love your style!

I adore that weapon, it’s such an interesting take on the usual stuff for polearms
Damn, she cute. Maybe I'm juat a sucker for that ear shape. Thinking on it, that actually makes sense.
Im sure many have said this before. But Great art and concept. I love it
Thanks ^^
Really cool, great job!
Thanks :)
I am highly enthused
Sorting by controversial is a treat.
Goblins are fun to play as, with the Tasha’s caldron rules of character attributes.
This is the best pre-Tasha’s race and class combination.
Total babe
Dope
Damn, op is shitting on all of reddit on twitter because 3 comments that got down voted to oblivion. Edit: LOL wut? http://imgur.com/a/HGCqz0p
I noticed that! I thought it was weird that the artist linked his Twitter in the same thread that he was making fun of people. Usually people separate that more.
What happended to the other half of her armor? 🙈
She's a barbarian she doesn't need it haha
Incase no one else said it, I hope you know this is a good piece of art; just incase no one else said it.
"just in case" is three words, not two...
^^^i ^^^see ^^^what ^^^you ^^^did
Angry goblin slayer noises.
Whatever floats your boat, guy
I'd smash
Oh, she's totally going in my new campaign as an NPC on Friday, I hope that's okay!
Since she's my OC I'd appreciate if you don't do that, thanks :')
I think the blacksmiths misheard “Long blade, short Scabbard”
Don't put OC in the title". Pure genius
This looks like something Sseth would use in a might and magic video.
Do you work for Pixar?
I wish :')
That's pretty cool. What sourcebook lets you play as a goblin?
I dont know if i should get arroused by this
Commissions 🤩?
