I always laugh at when a pirate flying a eagle comes up to my combat rigged vette and is like “give me your inventory” and my response is always “so you have chosen death”
I have zero cargo space. I just let them scan me while I scan them for bounties, bask in their disappointment, then light up my chosen chump. It never ceases to be amusing.
I loved it when a guy checked me out near a port and said "you're useless to me. They told me this system was rich pickings, what gives?" After scanning me while I trundle by with over seven million dollars in silver in my hold right by where I was going to sell it
To be honest, there's very little money in piracy. He'd be better off trading and he knows that. Or bounty hunting. It's literally his own fault his children are starving.
Had one come at me while geared for mining only, which I took enough offense to that I spent the time using mining lasers and ramming my fat ass type 7 into his face to finish him off.
Did it force me to return to dock with a broken cockpit? Yes.
Was it worth it? Your fucking damned right it was.
I love piracy for the flavour and for doing missions where you need to take something important from a convoy, but is there any valid reason for PvP piracy or pirating rando AI miners? It seems very expensive for not much gain. (I could maybe see it for void opals)
Whats funny... Is that other pirates will scan you while you're killing the bastard.
And sometimes... I'll just afk in a haz rez with turrets and bait to farm pirates
They’re flying a ship they could sell for a lifetime supply of food and probably a modest retirement, too.
A Sidewinder sells for ~29,000 credits, and you can buy a ton (as in 1T) of food cartridges for ~104 credits (galactic avg.). That’ll feed a family of 8 for just shy of their entire natural lifespan. If you’ve got a better ship and/or fewer kids you can eat nicer food and have money left over.
That or slap a mining laser on it, go blindly shoot a couple asteroids and scoop the proceeds, and you can feed your kids for 2hr of work every three years.
Can these dipsticks not fit one passenger cabin? All they need to do is take one idiot to Sirius Atmospherics and back and they'll make, like, four million credits.
Having tried piracy, mining, and trading, I can say that while piracy is the most fun, it also makes the least profit on average, especially if you’re in a system with low trade or low valuable resources. When I first tried pirating, I did it in the wrong system and actually lost money; the cargo was literally not worth the limpets I used to get it. If this guy actually cared about feeding his family, he’d be trading or something.
Add that to the fact that owning even a stock sidewinder makes you pretty damn well off... yeah. That guy is guilt-tripping you. He has no family. Except for his fellow pirates.
The official unofficial subreddit for Elite Dangerous, we even have devs lurking the sub!
Elite Dangerous is a space simulator game by Frontier Developments based in the year 3307. You control your own spaceship in which you can participate in exploring a 1:1 scale Milky Way, trade between star systems, participate in bounty-hunting wanted ships, and even pirate other ships for their cargo.
Maybe if you'd sell that Anaconda you're flying, Daniel. You ever think of that?
I told you, Sharon. It's the only thing that makes me feel like I'm still a man.
I'm not having a mid life crisis. You are.

Damn Daniel, back at it again with the starving fam

You: These are not the goods you’re looking for.
Pirate: These aren’t the goods we’re looking for.
You: Move along...
Pirate: Move along!
Mfs say that and then fly the most expensive ship in the system

He just needs to watch a few YouTube videos and he can get 100+ mil in an hour
Yeah every time you little buggers come scan me, you're getting fire in response. Fuck around and find out gang.

Wait, did Oliver Queen die?
>!Yeah, he died saving the multi-verse from the Anti-monitor.!<
off topic: why berry is happy on the oliver's grave ?
Looks like a blooper to me
Haha get dabbed on little Timmy
I will never forget when I saw that and responded. "Sorry I'm new"
If you kill a pirate and his wife and kid starve to death because of it does that count as a triple kill
Yes
"How do you people make a living?"
"Lets see what you have..." Nothing really, just these */deploys hardpoints*
"Is dad coming home soon?"
I have no cargo space because I have all these weapons. Wanna see? *deploys hardpoints*
In project interdiction we have a name, “Daniel” had a name, his name was Oliver Queen! His name was Oliver Queen!
Looks like little Timmy is having a lonely dinner tonight

Sheer fun factor
The sidewinder had no chance. For him? It was the most eventful day of his life. For me, it was a Tuesday.
No, but the credits on your head will feed mine.
“See? Some of them even have faaa-~~~~...” #GARY

"What do you carry, I wonder?" Your coffin. \*deploys hardpoints\* Does he honestly think I'm hauling vopals in a Chieftain?
Love it when they say some random shit like that just as the kW scan finishes.. *Happy railgun noises.*
The one time I saw that text I had to let him be the only pirate I didn't murder, NGL.

Suicide by bounty hunter?
Bruh there are more lucrative careers than piracy.
You just triggered a tragic backstory

And nobody has thought of filling a T9 with food cartridges and just giving these poor pirates a helping hand? Who is the monster here?
Me, im the monster, and i will take pride in that until the day i die
Well maybe if your fatass would go turn that conda into a mining vessel you wouldnt be starving and dead would you?
To be completely honest, even if he was mining he would have been dead, it was an anarchy system
Well thanks to that pirates poor life choices his family will now be more than hungry.
If the pirate really cared about feeding their families, they would stick to data courier missions in solo.
Dude, sell your Anaconda and feed your freaking family.
