Congratulations NASA for landing their 5th rover and 1st ever drone on Mars... If we ever become an interplanetary species, it will be because of the unsung, unknown and uncelebrated heroes of NASA and other space agencies... Not this credit-hogging, apartheid sponsored, bs tweeting manchild.

He also said in 2016 that from 2018 onwards SpaceX would be sending stuff to Mars every launch window.
If someone wants the link now or in 3 years:

But....the memes! He likes memes, that means him and I are alike.
One day the Musk bubble will burst. People will then be rational and collect all the false promises and fake hopes propagated by Musk and his fans, as they do right now for Elizabeth Holmes. Then a few years after, a new sophisticated Con Artist will emerge, I will start calling him out, but people will make a God out of him, as they did for Musk and Holmes.
It's like a Circle of Stupid.
Shh...he’s gots money and am impulsive Edit for grammar
Whenever NASA does something on Mars, it's quite a painful moment for his closet rats. That pain is very much visible on this thread xD
...Uh, why? I've haven't seen Musk/SpaceX fanboys tearing down the Mars landings. If anything they'd be cheering them on because it brings their favorite corporate figurehead's dream closer lol.
The only thing Musk (and his companies spacex and tesla) is good at is PR. One day even his cult followers will realize this. That'll be the end of this bs.
I'd be good at PR too if every follower I had would let me fuck their wife for a retweet
It is all fun and games until spaceX will run slave colonies on mars.
SpaceX will blast itself into oblivion long before they even try to reach beyond lower earth orbit.
Post this in r/memes

The top rocket explosion picture is a Russian Proton rocket. https://youtu.be/vqW0LEcTAYg
nationalize space travel and let the people own the means to travel to space!
Capitalists are the biggest threat to space travel ever, because if they manage to monopolize it literally nothing can stop them. Thank fuck Elon is a moron.
Do musks rockets actually fail more frequently than others? Or is it confirmation bias from seeing all those videos? Honest question.
Not sure if he fails more than others.
He certainly is more stupid and full of himself than others though.
Honest answer.

You forgot pathfinder :(
Pathfinder was the base station which carried the Sojourner :)
I bet it would have had a lot more media coverage if SpaceX were the ones landing. Most news broadcasts I saw basically tacked it onto the end to fill time. If SpaceX did it, it would be the main story for the whole week in the news.
I only partially agree with this. NASA has had countless other rockets exploding too, that’s normal when developing new rockets. One could also argue that developing much cheaper rockets to launch is a great move, especially compared to something like the SLS.
Yeah, that's was back in the 60s when the rocket tech was being finessed.
It's 2020s. Time to move beyond exploding rockets.
NASA's JPL has actually started looking into warp drives. Something Muskrat and his bitches can't even dream about in lightyears. They can keep jerking off to ridiculous looking rockets exploding on launch pads.

Happy cakeday!
wow. The amount of Muskrats on this thread is surprising.
What you don't seem to understand is that this sub is not for just hating everything he does. Musk actually had some great impact on the branche. This sub is for calling out his unjustified spam. Rockets do explode - also the ones from NASA (one of the rockets you pictured isn't even SpaceX). and things like "pedo guy" are absolutely classical trash elon spam but have nothing to do with his Mars mission.
I want this post to get 42069 upvotes. Come on.
Perhaps trashing a dead planet will be easier and cheaper than a living one 🤔
Not to mention that NASA's goal is to further science and space exploration for the good of all mankind, whereas Elon's goal is to further his own wealth.
Yet his followers still say he is the one that will get humans to Mars.....
At least SpaceX hasn’t killed anyone.
Rovers are cool I guess but it'd be *really* cool if NASA blasted a sports car into Mars.
Comparing a real science mission to publicity stunt. Like..really?
I’ll coup who I want! I’ll coup Mars for its lithium!
Dude that car is nothing more than fucking space junk. There are more Landers on the Moon and more Rovers on Mars than all the SpaceX rockets sitting and exploding on the launch pads combined. Stop sucking up.
Can I just say I really love the names of the Rovers?
It’s very stupid for me to say, but I trust NASA with my fucking life, they’ve done so much incredible stuff probably saved millions of lives. If any other institution went there first I can’t imagine how much worse it’d be.
that's... a russian rocket
OP gonna die of thirst with all this salt.
you still won't get any sugar from your sugardaddy tho 🤣
Congratulations to you for posting a picture of a Soviet rocket from the 1960s exploding when you're trying to criticize Elon Musk.
Ghislaine Maxwell one is real.
His Twitter bullshit is real.
Exploding dragon rockets is real.
Crashing falcon rockets are real.
NASA on Mars for the 5th time is real.
The pain in your butt is real.
The intelligent and non biased comments live in “controversial” here
I like your Reddit handle.
NASA 2020 budget = $20 billion SpaceX total funding = $6 billion NASA number of years in business = 63 SpaceX number of years in business = 19 Elon Musk put $100 million of his own money which he completely got from sale of PayPal into SpaceX with the risk of loosing it all if the company didn't go to orbit. Luckily the went to orbit on 4th try. If SpaceX had not been able to go to orbit in 4th try what would have happened, 1. Elon Musk would have lost $100 million 2. The employees would still have got their salaries for their work and can leave to find another job. This is the open market you get returns proportional to the risk that you put in.
Failure is an incredibly important part of science, and the reason they have reusable rockets now is because of the amount of times they failed. Not to mention NASA has had plenty of explosions as well; Challenger and Columbia killing more people than Elon has. Not saying SpaceX doesn’t have flaws, or that Elon is good, just that your comparisons are cherry picked for your biased argument.
Yeah. Keep dreaming. SpaceX won't do shit.
NASA is actually on Mars. Musk is exploding on launch pads. Something NASA used to do in the early 80s and 90s.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is a bizarre amount of obsessive vitriol. Are you Bruce Wayne and Elon Musk personally murdered your parents?
No but the obsession you guys have for him makes him some sort of twisted Clark Kent, doesn't it?
nasa worship is just as cringe as musk worship
lol no kidding!
