That's really the only way, yeah? Live training has more practical situations the dummy can't give you. Heck, I learned gunning in FU on G rank Nargas. Granted, FU didn't have a training dummy but still.
Hime is a genius, after all.
Well she have lots of game knowledge for what I've seen. And great sword its all about game knowledge more than anything, you have to know how the monster moves.
For me was something similar: In base MH World I use dual blades, but when I got to Iceborne I throw myself with the greatsword and it became my main weapon since then.
Yeah, I never touch the training dummy. It's not going to teach you the timing for attacks or when to use what attack. Plus if she's played before and reached the highest tiers on other weapons Diablos might as well be a training dummy.
for non-MH players, Diablos is the epitome of pain-train (aside Tigrex) where it will ram you with its horns, club you with its mace-like tail, digs under and can give pain from underground.
...and this is high-rank (HR7), because there will be an expansion with more aggressive mofos like Diablos.
GS is the most difficult weapon to use in the game. Its extremely slow speed not only makes it hard to land hits, it also makes you extremely vulnerable while locked in long animations.
This right here is the reason on why I'm 100% certain that the princess is a vet and exactly like my brother. They use diablos as a live training dummy for learning weapons.
To be fair diablos is a good monster to test your comprehension on a weapon
somehow mh rise is WAY more forgicing than mh world. in world if you didnt craft up every single new armor tier and upgrade it, youd cart in 2 hits. meanwhile you can be pummeled around in rise with no problem.
It's not. First, village quests are specifically made easier to ease players into the game. Second, we only have high rank so far. Monsters will still cart you in 2-3 hits without mitigation.
Nothing beats having 4 cats drag your ass back to camp, training dummy offers no such service.
In all seriousness, i prefer live training than hitting lifeless dummies. The one in Rise is good for some basic counter timing though.

yeah the only way to git gud is to bring a weapon and pound your head into high level hunts.
She have 800 hours of previous monhun experience, hr7 is cakewalk
Seriously very impressed how she hunts. The wirebug is a new mechanic but she uses it like she had 800 hours on those too.
Like a baby bird being sparta kicked out of the nest to learn how to fly, the most valuable experience you can get is the real deal.

Only to get carted by a Delex but our princess didn't give up!
I wish I was half as hardcore as this pretty pink princess

Because of this vets recommended this guy as your test your mettle with your weapon monster
If you can kill this guy with that weapon you're on the way to mastery
Ah yes greatsword does great damage. No need for tutorial just and run😂

People like us dance with Diablos
She said on a previous stream that her main is "BIG SWORD" though, and she's forcing herself with hammer just for something new.
