Looks awesome! Some stuff that will make it feel better:
1. Faster step time--spiders move their feet shorter distances pretty quickly (or at least this is common in video games)
2. Have the feet "look ahead" and step more in the direction you're traveling than needed. Currently, it feels like a rock floating along with feet trailing behind it rather than feet carrying/pulling forward a rock
3. Add some sort of sway mechanism--maybe tug the box toward the average point between all of the feet that are on the ground? Plus maybe some vertical oscillation based on when feet contact. Not really sure what the best approach is here.
4. Having 8 legs will be more spider-y!
I wish you all the best with your game!
This is all very good tips I felt the same
Oh man a first person fantasy game with what looks like great spell variety! For some reason there are way too few games in that niche.
Added to my steam wishlist and looking forward to future updates.
Was thinking the same. Spells don't all have to be constantly useful like combat spells and such, even simple novelty spells make a magic world feel a lot more alive, and sometimes those novelty spells can still have weird niche advantages. D&D is made so much more fun by thinking outside the box with what seem like useless items or spells.
Do enemy corpses count as physics objects?
Can it do a house? Baba Yagaaaaa!
When the camera looked at that narrow tall pot/nut looking thing and the player mounted it, I was 100% prepared for the worst
Same. Maybe the object should rotate to have its flatest part facing upwards.
It would be creepy cool if extremely rarely one of these would attack you when you cast it.
that seems awesome!!! and unique too!! I may hate spiders but at least they aren't scary there haha
Wow, awesome spell, this feature alone makes me want to play this game
Does it have six legs, looks like only 4?
Spiders have 8 legs
It’s not a Boulder. It’s a ROCK 😭
A BIG, BEAUTIFUL ROCK
That UI - is this inspired by Guild wars? Very cool!
This is my literal nightmares realised
So what's the game about?
It's an open world sandbox RPG where you have to prepare the world for an apocalypse in hopes of postponing the Endtimes!
I was really not expecting the character to sit a top the shaft, happy about it though...
Yo every time I see the posts I get so hyped! Is the demo being updated with all or some of the stuff posted?? Also is there a discord?
I'm running into a few errors with the latest build, but I'm trying my best to iron them out ASAP! So the demo is very dated, unfortunately.
And yes, there is a discord! Right here: https://discord.gg/ewtnqCYwDv
Thanks, I hate it
This is great
I remember seeing your mount spell before it gave legs. Pretty neat idea haha. Love it! :)
Haha, yes! I'm keepin the no-leg one in the game as a seperate spell cause it's hilarious lol
Really neat idea
Trolling people with this 😂
Cool but useless? Barely faster than walking and small duration?
You'll be able to climb walls with them! And you can sprint, which is must faster, I just didn't do it in the clip.
Does it work on corpses? Asking for a friend.
Not currently, but it will!(:
Each class may summon a unique animal so it's not only spiders
That is an amazing idea
Awesome and creative. A smooth camera movement would boost the experience.
That's actually really original idea, nice job!
When I saw you making this a week ago I meant to suggest riding a dragon or large monitor lizard
Fun spells are better than practical spells any day, great job!
What’s this game??? Sign me up!
The first time i read this as "spread legs" and i was like "w a h t"
If you can build a house I want to give it legs and just travel around like it’s an RV.
This is so cool!!!!! Nice job !
Fuck horses, all my homies ride on spider rock
Burn it with fire!
Where can i sign up for early access and/or be a part of development and or hard core fanboy bc i love this and the style of game
Okay. But but why? Game looks awesome. I want.
It's not just a bolder. It's a rock! A rock!!
Looks great! I hate it.
Damn that's such a unique and cool mechanic. Really excited for this game instant wishlist :D
That's so cool! Now to tackle my fear of spiders! :D
Theoretically, you could use this to move objects and stack them precariously... There is so much that could be done with this!
What's the game? I wanna check it out!
Spiders have 8 legs. That’s a facegrabber.
That’s very cool 😎
Does it work on enemies
Very cool skill.
Giving me real Ghibli vibes!
Well that’s just badass
We love indie games, you should too!
