Woo hoo!! Great job! I’m so proud of you for committing to a healthier you. That shit isn’t easy. It’s so easy to fall of the wagon and give up. But even if you take a detour you wake up and choose to drive that wagon in a better direction. You might not know it, but you’re inspiring others in their journeys. Whether it’s a healthy lifestyle or another goal, way to jumpstart others!
Thank you for the kind words it's been an amazing journey and I've still got a lil ways to go! I just want others to know it is possible, as long as you just trust the process and stick with it.
Very nice dude. I had a similar experience growing up and I know how you're feeling. I weighed around 300 in sophomore year of high school and lost 60 lbs by senior year. Then gained 85 lbs after graduating. It was miserable, so I know how you felt. Now I'm at ~180 and it's incredible to do all of the things I've never been able to do, like run without pain or do a pullup. Now I can play sports without feeling like the fatty outcast. Though my body isn't good looking, I can walk around without feeling ashamed of being overweight.
I guess I'm skinny now, but it still feels weird to call it that. My body still looks the same to me, even though I'm almost 150 lbs lighter. If that happens to you, it is just your mind playing tricks on you. Your brain is so used to seeing your body that it's hard to fully notice even large changes.
All of this just to say: you're doing awesomely, keep it up, and don't be too hard on yourself. Set a goal (6 ft tall? go for 180-185) and when you reach it, be proud of yourself and try to see yourself in your new body instead of just seeing *you.*
The last time I lost a lot of weight, I was reviewing security footage and I asked who was the person on the screen and my coworker was like what? That's you! I didn't even recognize myself, it's funny how our minds work.
Renpho. Goes with the scale- I just got one last month. Works well and decently priced. I love all the different measurements it give (it also does skeletal mass, bone mass, water, etc).
Great job! How did you manage to lose so much face fat? I lost 35kg's (77lbs) in 6 months but my face didn't get slimmer at all. Is there a certain diet or exercise to lose face fat? I'm 16 and I still have a few kg's to lose but my face looks really fat compared to my body.
Based on what I've read fat distribution is based on genetics, there is no way to target fat loss on any part of the body, what you can do is build targeted muscle and continue to burn fat, check out youtube for concentrated face exercises get those jaw muscles to start popping, Never stop the grind you've made it this far! Side note, i expect as you age your face will continue to develop so don't despare your final form hasn't even arrived my guy!
Congrats! I'm right behind you in progress. I just moved from "morbidly obese" to "normal obese" (389 to 260) for the first time since I was 17.
Great job dude, how awesome is it right? Sometimes I feel like I could float away 😆
Way to go!! That’s an amazing accomplishment.
What app is that in the first pic?
Thats the Renpho app. It pairs with Renpho smart scales to record your weight. Works well, is cheap, would recommend.
Congratulations. That's an awesome accomplishment. Be proud of yourself.
