Vegetation. Add more leaves on the edge of the cliff, as well as qny plant life other places. Also, mix up and roughen the terrain that is flat maybe?
Terrain looks impressive but is really simple.
Mountain also looks small compared to the left side terrain that it doesn’t look as impressive as it should.
Add cyan terracotta and grey concrete maybe to give it contrast. Also some dirt patches and vegetation
yeah, some more texturing wouldn't hurt
How about you make a pond at the top with lots of plant life make it like a zen garden. Then you could have the water trickle down the mountain towards a lake beneath.
You could also make a bridge going over the water on the path.
Basically add some life to it place some grass spots with flowers and trees with water running through it. Have leaves and vines dancing off the side.
You can also add some natural ores and stuff to make it look natural not man made.
good idea overall, but I was planing to make a castel on top with ice spikes, so I am keeping the suggestion of the bridge ; ) ty
Greenery. Chuck in some leaves, vines, trees, moss. Maybe a water feature too.
Waterfall, that's all I'm gonna say... wait and a cool tree on the top
I was thinking the exact same thing. It needs the master oogway tree
Water and greenery. Makes it pop out more and a lot more pleasing on the eyes
Maybe put a forest all around ?
very good idea, just need to make 20-ish custum trees, and it is going to look may better ; )
Snow, greenery, stone variations are all possible answers
The top looks kinda flat, idk
yeah, I was planing to put a castel on top along with some ice theamed thing
I would say vegetation and water features. It’s a beautiful cliff and it would look amazing with a giant waterfall off of one of the sides with a river or pond at the bottom. I think Bdouble0 made a great player-made waterfall in his hermit craft S7 base that could really elevate the level of detail in such an amazing build.
yeah, like someone else suggested, I am now going to make a frozen water fall out off glass. First time working with it !
Lots of humans are saying add plants but if the castle you keep saying your gonna build is ice themed
Add some custom Spruce trees lots of snow and make more ice Spikes hear and there.
Oh and a powder snow river OR ice River.
I never thaught of adding trees on it, nice suggestion bro
Blending of the dirt and stone but probably best u don’t listen to me as my builds are nothing but basic
My eye suddenly is drawn to the right and out on this perspective, the center also looks a little barren. To deal with the center I would rap the brown mountain to the left a bit more( build another mountain or two in that middle upper area) and for the right I would maybe try filling it out with a forest like other people have said. You could also have the forests almost “lead the eye” back into the center of the area, from a photographic perspective this would keep your attention in the scene for longer and it would also allow you to create an interesting looping trail system.
Overall amazing work, excited to see how it turns out!
Edit: more on the forests to the right
wow that was really well written haha. I think I am going to follow your advice and make one arm of the mountainsort of spiral around to the left. Also add trees ;)
Add some grass and leaf blocks
Where there are large sections of smoothish rock (like the left cliffs) I would put in random stone stairs. If you poke out random single holes & put stairs in different directions, it looks a little like rocks. For the top, if you're not going to build any building I would put a small mound, maybe grass, with flowers. For the arch at the base, I would make it slightly less "perfect" & put in some blocks jutting down with upside-down stairs, or drip-stone. & lastly, the right needs more color. Trees, different shades, something. The shapes okay, but it's too uniform in color
No plans or vegetation, also white tops if you weren't planning it, just needs more texture
I do not like the coal ore too. Maybe swap for a different block?
Yeah bruv just needs some plants and grass mixed in
Life. It needs something to make it look like things live there, even if it’s just plants
Blend the dirt and stone more and add vegetation
Life is lacking
Add grass and trees and waterfalls
Waterfalls are cool
Foliage and vegetation, as it is now its kinda bland. You’ll realize after just a few leaves, and a little bit of moss, how big a difference it really makes.
I feel as if it is perfect! I could not come anywhere close to this
haha lol, like a wise man once said : You gotta add the human element to your build if you want them to look immersive. So that is what is truely important when doing a detailed build. That mountain that you see lacks just that. It is only made out of cold and very much dead rocks. Life is the key. Well that is what I got out of the comments I got haha
More texturing, some vegetation on the side of the cliff. Maybe some large boulders or trees.
God damn that’s amazing. Reminds me of avatar the last airbender, though probably only because I just watched an episode
The transition blocks between terrain could be less intense along with adding some more natural elements like water, trees, grass, etc
Waterfalls can never hurt
Along with trees, add a theme/style to it. Maybe base it off of japanese sights including: Cherry Blossom trees, waterfalls, rocks, etc
Grass and plant life
The transition is a bit off
(ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)
Honestly, it is a great start there are two things that may help improve this build having sections of dirt and or vegetation into the mountainscape. Another thing that might help is using some darker grey blocks throughout the build to create more contrast and texture from further away. Up close the texture of those blocks would look really good that you currently have but it is too subtle in the color and tone shift to have as great an impact when viewed from further away. However, the terraforming is already beautiful!
Should turn that dirt part into a volcano :)
I am going to think about that, could be a great addition. :)
Add some green and maybe a small lake or river or waterfall?
ah yes, the ultimate tool while building
River, add a river under the bridge to show what eroded out the bridge
Plants, trees, and definitely water.
I mean on mountians you see. Animals. Vegetation. Its not all rocks. And also you have a bridge (rock) that formed from…. Air? Things have to have a reason in nature or it makes no sense and this is a mountain like thing.
Goats, vegetation, maybe a cabin, and snow
River into the lake
You could put dripstone/vines in the archway area maybe?
you can't really see it, but this is actually just a background to the village behind it haha. The city is named arcansas and I am making a series on it on youtube. here is the link to the channel. the mountain will be featured in the ep 3 of arcansas
Shrubbery and texture. Add some stones or rock formations. Some trees and vegetation
Trees, leaves, anything green to fill in the blanks
Life and movement. Animals, vegetation, a waterfall. That is an excellent start, but if you ask any of the building Hermits, they would suggest the build needs some "life".
Mountain slope is too slow, make it go up higher. Also, don’t use smooth brush too much (assuming you used voxelsniper). The staircase on the left side to the top stands out a little, not sure what to do about it tho
I get your point, and I didn't use voxelsniper, I thought it died ! I only used world edit commands to make spheres for the shape. And you're kinda right, I am going to think about that staircase. OwO
w a t e r
More blue and green on the left side of the mountain might do the trick, since us humans usually likes things that are colorful
do a waterfall, but make it icy
Vegetation and more jagged and rough areas
trees and some greenery might help I have noticed that has helped
Trees, and, Buildings. It needs more trees
Requires active volcano
Needs more color. Too gray
Add a tree growing off of that cliff side
Vegetation, patches of dirt in the stone, life. Just generally stuff that breaks up the grey backdrop of the cliff face. As it is, it all kind of blends into itself and makes it feel barren and lifeless.
More varied colour?
I think the gradient between the grass and rock should be more defined
the bottom to the house to the left
what are you trying to say? I don't understand
Just saw this post explode, did not expect that at all. I have a youtube channel where I build a city which is named arcansas, and this mountain that you see is going to be a part of the ep 3 of arcansas. Here is the link if you want to visit
A castle on top
I wouldn't say there anything particularly wrong with it. It looks good.
That said, here's advice off personal preferences. Integrate the grass into the stone shelves better, you need to stagger grass along the lines of where it would naturally grow, i.e. grass would flourish in valleys of the mountain, at the foot of cliffs, etc. Blend the snow from the edges of the plateaus, the contrast could be too harsh. Maybe lean more heavily into the snowy-whipped theme, possibly even integrate ice? That last parts more iffy and really depends on the overall theme.
Aside from all that, it obviously needs some form of vegetation, but i assume you're not into that part of development yet, so all the recommendations have been about terraforming.
Hope this helps!
Dang, I think Imma message you for other builds as well, golden piece of advice. Thank you for your attention
Try to blend the mountains into the ground better and add some greenery
edit: trees and rocks would also help, maybe a waterfall too
color. maybe add some trees, grass, and bonemeal? custom trees look the coolest
I haven't seen your past progress and I don't know your future plans.
At the moment the left and middle side of this mountain look good as an atmospheric build, it probably look cool from bellow and when you are up there as well, but it look awkward from a distance from above.
Two things look unnatural, the excess of rock and the right side being too "perfect" or flat. In real life some small parts of the mountain would have vegetation, maybe you could add vines coming from the vegetation you decide to add. The right side could have a path in the same way it is already is, and around it maybe it could be more uneven.
Going up there from the left side by walking could become a nightmare if you have to go to the right side, maybe add a secret passage with a ladder if you want to play in survival.
yeah you're right, I'll add imperfections to the sort of staircase at the right
Color. Ez. Rn its all grey, you should add water and leaves and maybe some trees or paths or wood bridges, the extra bits of color will help alot
Colours, grass, vegetarian
Vines, trees, flora.
Variation. It's well done but very plain so far. Vegetation, patches of other colors and textures, etc. will all make a huge difference.
Grass and vegetation. Don't forget trees
trees? houses if they fit the landscape
Need little patches of leaves to act as bushes some nice trees and some stones to really add that terrain
Maybe add some life
Vegetation, color and water
try using stairs slabs and walls to texture more. grass and trees would help too
It looks kinda plain, more flowers and plants and water I suggest, maybe even some animals
River through the arch
Som texturing and decorating would help just add some greenery rocks and patches of other blocks to add texture
the thing that is lacking is some trees, grass, maybe some snow, gravel, diorite, coal, andesite, and that floating building on the top left
You should add a few extra plants and some snow
its lacking green
Basically me i tried once then my friends saw my mega base under construction then they blew it up from then on tbere was no builds ad i destroyed fhem.
flora and vegetation
A stream or signs that a stream once flowed through there
A giant castle is what is missing for sure
Details. Some vegetation and rocks scattered around should liven things up a bit. Also try adding some iron and coal ore
I mean why not build a fortress on it and then spice up the terrain with some greenery
Left kinda flat
I love mindlessly wasting my time but holy shit how do people do this?
Add vegetation and add some cabins/old looking buildings it would bring some life to the build
Something like a waterfall with thick vegetation all around it. But it looks great so far!!! There are so many amazing things you could do with this. Keep up the great work!!!
Something is lacking but I don’t know what, could you help me?
Me: not even being able to come close to this in creative
But with all seriousness it looks amazing!!!!
Loons to me like the left side isnt done, that's about it imo
A cave on the left would look amazing
The mountains can be a bit more tall. Cuz now it’s mostly raised plateau and a small mountain.
Greenery and rocks/boulders
Depends on what you will turn it into. I would say a waterfall though
Prolly add a touch of color here and there. That would make it seem more diverse and natural
Add some mushrooms, vines, glow stone, crystals, decorations (i.e. carts, barrels, cranes, rocky outcroppings.) my favorite way to add light is to make mushrooms with a concrete, and covering the concretes in stained glass so you have this done and you can add lights inside
greenery and snow
Dead tree branches out of the side of the cliff and some snow patches also grass
Give it some random scattered rocks on the flat parts to give it more depth
Maybe a waterfall leading from the top to the bottom where the water is already in the valley in the middle
I'd add some vines or hanging flora to make the cliffs look more "cliffy". I'd also look into blending you biome a little more. maybe fill in the middle area with a river and some coarse dirt/stones to really sell the whole thing. it does look like it was sorta just plopped there.
Otherwise, fantastic work
Snow and trees / foliage
I think the mountain looks good, but it would benefit from some snow, texturing and vegetation. The ground at the bottom of the mountain kind of takes away from it too, I would say add some custom trees (probably spruce) and other vegetation with some smaller rocks around it. Maybe a waterfall going into a pond with some 1.17 vegetation would look nice too.
This hits me hard, cuz the terrain just looks like my base on an old friends server. I had to update my minecraft after being off for a while, and visited the server.
Here is some pic, maybe ill post more of it later, with cheap shaders
Just needs life
While you added the different textures, at the large scale, it doesn't feel variated, yet using slabs and pressure plates, and maybe dead coral
Probably that floating house in the back left
If the right side is a mountain you need to go BIG
a little green
trees and some *water*
Vibes using leaf blocks, more of a gradient starting with darker at the bottom then work way towards lighter at the top. Smol bushes here snd there some dead trees up at the top
Add a giant snow globe to it
Vegetation and a waterfall
tees and bushes, trees and bushes, trees and bushes!
Maybe some snow on the very tips on the mountain? You don’t have to do that tho if that’s not what you’re looking for!
Maybe a waterfall? From high on the gray down into the pond? Could drop over the overhang too?
dirt and stone could blend a bit more, a waterfall or two
Top left looks like a plateau, so maybe put some sort of center piece there, like a tree or shrine or something that catches the eye
It isn’t competed so uh that could be it, it differs from terrain around it so that’s what is lacking for me, I feel like the right side should be more raised up and not be like that steep coz there doesn’t seem enough space for that to happen
The land looks great it just feels empty. Maybe a nice mountains biome could make it look more alive!
Vegetation and water maybe? :)
life liek leaves or trees buildings stuff like that
Maybe some greenery?
I'm a big fan of adding water features and a few little critters to make the place more alive. Throw a few little streams coming from the walls flowing down to the lake at the bottom center, and add some tropical fish.
It need vegetation,snow,ruins etc..
I think a bit of vertical differences around the edge of the cliff could help it too
Maybe a waterfall and some vegetation would make it look a bit better
Dirt and grass like on real mountains, and some bushes, I think that's what's missing :)
You see, there are two flat surfaces on the right side. If i were you I'd go for a lake on the top surface and a waterfall from it to the buttom surface.
Maybe make a path along the slope and along the ridge
Add dirt and vines
You could also make the grass and stone flow more into each other. Instead of having a solid line. Also vegetation, done custom trees and stuff like that goes a long way. You said the right side isn't done but don't forget to put texture into that dirt. Mix in some other forms of dirt and other colours of brown. Maybe even granite would work.
All in all it's a beautiful build! Well done! I really love it!
T R E E S
Add some texture some stairs slabs just experiment with it see what you like and what you don't
Another mountain behind it might look nice
Be cool if there was large tree on the upper flat area on the left
