Same thing with American Sniper. They used Bradley Cooper’s real baby.
Clint Eastwood blew all of his baby budget on that Hillary Swank movie.
Another case of Hollywood nepotism!
I wonder if She got her SAG card out of it.
American Hustle was released in 2013.
Thanks for pointing that out. Everything you’ve read is a lie. Trust the plan.
> *”That's actually Jeremy Renner's baby," he [director David O. Russell] says, pointing to a shot in which Renner, as Mayor Carmine Polito, is cradling a month-old infant.*
> *"They brought the baby and they were hanging around with (Renner's) mother. I couldn't get his mother to be in the scene. But I said, 'Why don't you put the baby in the scene right now?' "*
Apparently, the woman holding the baby is Sonni Pacheco, Renner’s then-wife/now ex, in an uncredited cameo, but I can’t find any online sources to corroborate this.
it's her. i remember reading it around when the film came out.
it's funny that i can't find a source either. their divorce was pretty acrimonious not long after though
Just rewatched this movie and “Don’t put metal in the science oven!!!” Still something I still say to my daughter to annoy her even though she’s 11 now and not 6.
I'm glad I'm not alone. I've exclusively referred to it as a science oven for years now.
Kissing babies is such a weird act in American politics though.
“Okay jeremy, you’re a corrupt politician who’s only doing it for the show don’t show any enthusiasm or love just try to make it look fake”
-looks into the eyes of the best thing in his life “ who’s the cutest baby in the world oh yes you are yes you are”
Is he, though? The character was corrupt, but his motivation for the bribery was to rebuild Atlantic City. He wanted to get the casino built to create jobs and bring in tax dollars, not just to line his pocket. Carmine Polito had good intentions and really cared about his constituents. That’s why he’s such a great character. He’s guilty as sin, but he’s the most sympathetic character in the film.
This movie didn't really live up to the A++ list cast. Still love Renner though.
I know I saw it. I cannot remember anything about it. I honestly forgot Jeremy Renner was in it until I saw this post.
Her name is Ava.
His performance was underrated in this move.
nope he was bad from the very start, to be honest only christian bale, amy adams and obviously de niro (even though it was a small part) did credible acting throughout the movie
His kiddo is going to have a great story to tell when she grows up
About how her dad bit her? Lol
Luckily he didn't mix up "shaking hands and kissing babies".
Never, ever shake a baby
For the last ~10 years I thought he was gay. All through the Marvel movies I thought he was gay, not there there's anything wrong with that.
When I saw this post I thought oh that's sweet, he and his husband adopted. Then I googled him and discovered I'm an idiot.
Because there was a huge rumor that he was, and that it was going to cost him roles. [His response to it was awesome](https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2015/06/29/jeremy-renner-gay-rumors-i-dont-care/29470015/).
>I don't care, ultimately, if that's what people want to think, read and care about. (Expletive) say whatever the hell you want about me. Look at where we're at socially—leaps and bounds ahead of where we started. That's an amazing thing. To suggest that it's negative, that being gay is a terrible thing, a perversion or whatever—I just don't get it. Don't you wish we were in a world where we're not shaming, judging and boxing people in?
She’s also the only fan of his singing career.
Hey his stuff on Spotify actually isn't bad at all. I checked it out ironically for some jokes with friends and I actually kinda dig it
Great commitment to the role
The scene was shot on Federal St in Salem MA
So many film titles start with the word American.
Isn’t this a 2013 movie?
Pretty boring detail
I heard that the baby demanded her own trailer and fresh breast milk at the craft services table, and spit up all over several crew members. Totally unprofessional...
American Hustle is from 2013 and the baby’s name is Ava.
Yeah the date was a typo - but you’re the first person to notice that I also swung-and-missed on the baby’s name. I really need to proofread better.
Have a free Reddit award for being eagle-eyed on little Ava’s name.
this is a trivia, not a détail
Jeremy Renner put a “pellet” gun in his mouth and threatened his wife that he was gonna kill him self.... ultimate troll lol KING
Uncorroborated stories from the woman you're divorcing aren't fact. He wouldn't have full custody of his daughter if there was any credibility behind the stories of abuse.
Thought she got blipped
Wow this must have been before he decided to turn into an abusive a hole who didn’t want to pay child support
Is there like, baby insurance in movies?
Wait was the baby put into the credits lol?
Trying to get extra checks I see... well played
All the baby would need to have done was made a goo or a gah on film and it would have been a speaking part, entitling her to royalties.
Early footage of dababy
If that’s true, why didn’t the baby recognise him??
we need a baby.
I got one of those at home.
Whew, there for a moment, going by this photo, I thought he was kissing Carmen Sandiago's baby instead.
TIL there are two American Hustle movies
Gota get that 10 years experience before your 16 in early.
Wait I thought there was an age a certain baby had to be to appear in a movie, I thought it was 3 months?
That Jeremy Renner has some big brass balls
Fun fact: My old high school guitar teacher is Jeremy Renner’s brother in law.
Please sweet baby Jesus, let it all out"
I spent what felt like four hours sitting through this movie, and I remember about thirty seconds of it.
"Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice your adorable baby. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if that handsome young gentleman over there kissed it? He's running for District 37 Comptroller, so it's cool."
This was before he got savagely beaten out of the bulk of his money in divorce court? Horror story kind of stuff.
Coincidentally, American Hustle gives the impression that the movie will be entertaining despite being boring as fucking shit in real-life.
Longest fucking theater experience of my life.
Great Fucking Movie!!!
But but the other comment said it was a boring movie. I'm gonna watch it.
Is this a coincidence?
College is 5v5 sudden death until a winner.
The fact that i saw this movie 3 times and everytime I forget the plot. It's like Avatar. No matter how many times i watch it, i forget it. Well, at least the movies are always a surprise when I rewatch them lmao
Then he tried to kill this wife but marvel forget about that
Who cares, god-awful movie
American Hustle came out in 2013
American Hustle is one of those movies I know I've seen but I literally remember nothing about.
I just watched "Tell my Your Secrets" and Hamish Linklater's daughter plays his niece. I love watching shit on Prime.
I just appreciate Renner’s ”discount Elvis” haircut
My wife was an extra in a movie, part of which was filmed on a local, as yet unopened highway. They paid more if she brought her own props. I guess Renner needed the extra hundred.
And who would have thought Jeremy Renner would go on to such a successful music career.
That was such a good movie
Hope the kid got paid for "making the shot"
Like he’s ever been accused of being a good actor.
