Hah, I was legit yelling at myself for that at the time "omfg have you ever even played rocket league before, dumbass", lol :). Had been taking a break but needed to play last night to get season rewards and boy was I rusty.
It's at least diamond 3? I noticed in 1s that everyone d3 and up do that fucking speed flip or at least attempt it. It's so damn OP and I hate it cause I can barely do it haha. That being said I clawed my way to champ 1.. none of that play looked like champ though..
Position >>>>> boost. I love boost, I have all it's albums, but it's the fourth most important thing in rocket league (after positioning, the ball and my opponent)
It's a joy when someone leaves on 1st goal 30 seconds in the match. The tutorial should blast people with *'NO, you DON'T get anything for going x-0 against the enemy. Stick around and play you noob'*
That was hard to watch. That second goal, you chase him knowing exactly where he’s going but continue to chase like you’re gonna catch them vs cutting their route. Lol, some weird ass way it all worked.
I was just just trying to stop him catching and attacking, under no circumstances was I ever going to challenge unless he turned. I had no boost and maintaining pressure and speed was my only idea there. If he hadn't thrown the ball away I'd have turned back and grabbed the mid boost and been in a decent position. If it's fine to cut him off there, he could have just turned back infield and driven past me and I couldn't have done anything about it. I needed him to think I was chasing him so he'd go fast and give me a chance. If he'd called my bluff and let me challenge him I'd have been at a disadvantage as I'd have to challenge him without boost, but that's a rush I had to take as I needed goals pretty bad :).
I made loads of mistakes in this video, but that play wasn't one of them, IMO.
* His first goal was an easy whiff by his opponent right at the goal
* The next few goals were good kickoffs by OP
* OP benefited from a missed shot after he put that toward his own net
So he's way better than me, but could still be having a meh game by his standards/C3 standards.
Hey, I see that all champs are ‘bad’ for saying it this way mechanical-wise. I’m Plat 3 currently, my peak is D2... what is your advice, how did you make it to champ without mechanics? Always see these really good mechanical player that even know how to rotate always in Diamond, but never higher. I know how to rotate and I’m patient but I swear my teammate is always the typical musty fan, rocket pass user, or a fucking fortnite mf that quits when I ask him to please rotate and not spam on chat.
Anyone got any tips?
This comment isn’t meant to be a hate comment for the people who misunderstand me. Really great clip! Loved it!
I think one of the biggest things is learning how to adapt to other people's playstyle. I recommend watching Lathamyr's road to SSL. He does a good job of playing like someone a a level lower than him would and talks about what you can do in that rank to move on up. One of the biggest take aways I got from it was to play in a way that makes your teammate shine rather than you trying to carry the game. Hope this helps somewhat.
Can confirm all things in the title are true.
I think this hurts so much to watch because I can empathize with it so well
I think the best I've done being down by 4 and coming back with a little over a minute to go. It wasn't any prettier to watch back than this haha.
GGs my friend!
Is it just me or does Champ III gameplay look a lot slower paced then I thought it would be? In my 1v1 matches it's a lot more energetic and fast, there just dosent feel to be much speed in champ gameplay?
If we played you wouldn't even touch the ball after kickoff :). Speed is deceptive when you're watching other people. But also you're not totally wrong, I missed like every boost pad and flubbed every recovery, and my opponent was choking.
You have titanium white fennec (fennecs not the ideal car but it is pretty expensive) and titanium white zombas but then you use titanium white riser. You can do better than that.
Ah I see you developed an allergy to boost pads. I too have this problem.
that made me uncomfortable he literally dodged all pads and big boosts
Good job, but oh lawdy rotating back after you scored the first goal, dodged every single pad hahab
Hah, I was legit yelling at myself for that at the time "omfg have you ever even played rocket league before, dumbass", lol :). Had been taking a break but needed to play last night to get season rewards and boy was I rusty.
This is why i don't play ones. That guy must have been tilted.
I personally don’t play ones because I’m trash.
What 1s rank is this? This surely isn't C3 1s?
It's at least diamond 3? I noticed in 1s that everyone d3 and up do that fucking speed flip or at least attempt it. It's so damn OP and I hate it cause I can barely do it haha. That being said I clawed my way to champ 1.. none of that play looked like champ though..
The power of a good kickoff in 1s. Nice one
You really don't care about boost
Position >>>>> boost. I love boost, I have all it's albums, but it's the fourth most important thing in rocket league (after positioning, the ball and my opponent)
It’s almost as though you are scared of picking up the mini boost pads....
Wait what's the 100 boost called?
This is why I hate when my teammates want to forfeit when we're down by 2. Then they start throwing.

coming back 5 goals in 47 seconds left in the game?? I don't call that ass.
Probably means most of the game.
For his rank, there are a few notable items:
* His first goal was an easy whiff by his opponent right at the goal
* The next few goals were good kickoffs by OP
* OP benefited from a missed shot after he put that toward his own net
So he's way better than me, but could still be having a meh game by his standards/C3 standards.
Kickoffs
Much wow!
ITT: where boost?
Dude had the meat sweats
3 | 28 At least the other guy initially looked to be playing smart to burn up the clock.
you need to pick up more pads my guy
Dude 1’s is so fucked, but congrats on the comeback still dope
Bro pick up an ounce of boost
I know right?
This is how a champ 3 plays? Who you pay for your lobbies?
this proves that in ones no lead is safe
Nah ff down 0-2 minute into the game
If I was the other guy id be breaking my controller
If I were your opponent I 100% would've uninstalled after that choke job

It’s obviously because of the fennec. Everyone knows that using it makes you play 2x better
Watch as the majestic animal deftly avoids every boost pad
Lol
This is why I both hate and love 1v1s
are you actually champ 3??
What? This looks like silver or gold gameplay.
No way this is Champ 3 play... Lol
Where is ,,I play like ass" part?
i would literally uninstall rocket league if this happened to me💀😭😭
Playing like ass he says.....this is me on a good day
I don’t believe what I just saw lol
Damn, feel bad for the opponent but ggs.
He must have worn himself out lol
Good at kickoffs = good at 1s
press F for one less player who uninstalled after this
On this episode of “I Shouldn’t Be Alive”
i can feel the rage quit.

any tips on side kickoff? how did you learn it and what are some common mistakes you were making that might be worth mentioning?
Youtube
Wow!
Thought you were finished after the first break, even tho you said you came back in the post lol
I love how you can see his disappointment when he misses his flick with a subtle nod of the camera lmaoo
These kind of matches lead to alcoholism
Close one! Close one! What a play! Chat disabled for 3 second(s)
and this is why i dont play solo's xD I hate those kick-offs
At least it proves you can win if you play to the end in some cases
Tragic
What a beautiful train wreck that hit a tree while crashing and somehow got launched perfectly back on track
Yeah I’ll just keep avoiding 1s. 5 minutes would be an endless nightmare for me.
Haha gg ez no - f u c k
Opponent: "Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Holy cow! Wow!
1s really is a good way to learn kick offs Having a bad kick off method can lead to losing a 5 goal lead like this
Gg for sure!
Question: are the air rolls better than just doing a front charge?
Do you mean during kickoff? It depends on the kickoff, but in general yes as you can boost whilst flipping (as you can see here).
Meanwhile my teammate will want to ff with 3 min left and a leading score because I accidentally bump him once.
I think its safe to say your opponent uninstalled and needs a monitor
Wow! Wow! Wow!
should have won in regulation lol
I facepalmed so hard at that miss I almost broke my nose.
That guy is sooo mad
how do you get your rank verified?
I will never give up again.... .ok maybe I will. But I will try harder
Dude is the biggest scrub ever 🤣 Heart always wins✊🏿

Diamond hands
gg
Dont mess with him
“Wow Wow Wow Wow Chat has been disabled for 4 seconds”
the comeback my god
What antenna is that?
"Sick reads" (it's a library card).
Rivoting to watch. Right when you scored final goal, I also finished...
This man has more frames per seconds than there are atoms in the universe.
You have titanium white fennec (fennecs not the ideal car but it is pretty expensive) and titanium white zombas but then you use titanium white riser. You can do better than that.
That’s why you never give up in 1v1’s. But that boost allergies was so funny
Go buy a lottery ticket right now
Why is this entire video in slow motion?
Damn, nice comeback. I'd rage quit for months if I where the black dude!
what car is that
Fennec
Damn
