The sub2000. Probably one of the most classic keltec guns (other than the KSG). They have a mixed reputation but mine has done good through the years.

Was *this* close to buying a sub2000 in .40 a few weeks back, just wasn’t meant to be I guess. Seems like maintenance/cleanup on those things is a breeze.

I got mine *just* before we went into a full pandemic last February. Only got to shoot it once at a terrible indoor range. I've since put the recoil buffer in, stock pad, & better charging handle and haven't been able to shoot it. Arg.
Me too! Except I didn't *actually* get to shoot it, because I'm an idiot and didn't have the stock adjusted right so I couldn't get the sight lined up with my eye without knocking my ear goggles off.
Then my AR jammed so I rage quit and went home. :(

I've never personally liked them. I don't know if it's the design choice or what. To me, it's like a pistol got it's mom to make a budget rifle costume for Halloween or something.

Nice :) I like mine. I swapped the trigger out due to the 8lb pull on the Keltec Trigger and put in a 3lb trigger.

They're usually 9x19 Parabellum but have other pistol calibers.
Damn it I want one. I've missed 3 Canadian shipments so far. Then again maybe I shouldn't bother, since it'll likely just get banned anyway.
So far they're mostly going at scary looking rifles, they probably have't noticed the Sub2000 since it uses pistol rounds

The optic is a vortex strikefire 2. Kinda just a spare optic I have had laying around. I mounted it far up so it still folds the majority of the way.

Stock trigger? Seems like that's one of the big issues people have with it
Pistol caliber carbines are darn good home defense weapons. [This folding Glock conversion Magpul prototyped in 2008](https://youtu.be/D99NHb6B03s) has always struck me as just the most awesome thing when you hear something go bump in the night. Instantly goes from innocuous flashlight to shouldered weapon.

May I throw another wrench in your thinking and suggest an Extar EP9? $450 and eats anything (that isn’t +p) I put in it. Recoil damping system that makes it basically non existent. Glock mags. 4lbs.

KelTec is a cool company- they do really interesting, and very innovative stuff, lots of things that no one else is really doing. The only problem is that their QC isn't that great. If you get a good one, its awesome, its not so great.
