I remember being a cashier and having those days lol. Great score!
That’s what you get for being honest, nice!
Nice. We have a pasta attachment and it’s awesome.
ETA: we paid something like $90 for our attachment and it was well worth it. Makes homemade pasta so much easier.
I got free gloves when I pointed out that a coat at the thrift store had them in the pockets. Its an extra bonus when you get a "steal" despite being honest!!
Bruh that ain’t stealing, even Jesus would’ve acted like he didn’t feel them 😂
So it’s just the attachment? Still a killer deal!
They retail for much more than $50 for "just the attachment".
Props on the find and to the cashier! Salt of the earth lol
I found a $20 bill in an Eileen Fisher coat I was trying on at a Goodwill. I brought it to the cashier and he put it in his pocket!
Damn that shit’s cold.
The thrifting gods have bestowed goodness on you. Awesome score
$50 for just the attachment seems like a ripoff.
Considering it retails for something like $75-80 otherwise this is still a good deal either way.
You got an amazing deal! We have one of these and have used it for enchiladas with sweet potato as the tortilla. And lasagna with zucchini as the noodle. So many options. Enjoy!!
I scored a Technics 1200 for 10 bucks new in box at a Savers exactly like this. Best score ever
That's dope. I got the meat grinder/sausage maker from a thrift store for $25.
Awesome!! I would live a high end vegetable sheet! Giant carrot wraps forever
You’re a good honest person and I’m glad the cashier recognized that and said, that if you were nice enough to point it out she was going to pay it forward and let you have it for $5.
That’s a beautiful wedding trophy.
home depot pool testing kit didn't have a baecode on it so when the worker called up her boss they just gave it to us for free lol. it was like $15 too
That’s amazing! I got my KitchenAid in a similar manner, but not quite as good as yours :)
When Younkers was closing all its stores, I went in to check out the super savings. It was a few days away from the last store in our city being closed permanently, so only odds and ends were left and it was a disorganized mess. I found a kitchenaid without its box, marked as a former display model. I checked it out and it had all of its pieces and was a real mixer, not a dummy.
I couldn’t find a price so I took it over to the nearest cashier, waited in line, and asked her if she knew how much it was. She threw her hands up in exasperation and said she doesn’t normally work in that department so she doesn’t know the merchandise. She looked at the ever-growing line of people behind me and told me to grab something else that was nearby where I found the mixer and she would just ring it up as that.
I also mildly panicked, trying to find anything even remotely near the value of the kitchenaid, but all I could find was a $25 crappy coffee maker.
She said it’s fine, rung me up, and handed me my receipt. A different cashier came up to help me wrap the kitchenaid because it was too heavy for a bag. As he’s wrapping it, another employee asks what the price of a different product is. My cashier says “oh it’s fine just ring this up and call it good enough” and her manager happens to be walking by. The manager says “no no no you need to find the actual item and actual price” and proceeds to jump in to help the other customer.
My cashier and I make eye contact and it was clear that we both swore silence. I had wanted to look around some more, but I boogied right out of there with my new mixer and was too afraid to go back in case they figured it out!
Deals like that are the best. Keep the story and tell everyone! People love a good story about a deal like that. Have fun with your mixer!
Oh god, pay that shit forward!
What!!!! That’s my white whale. Red, specifically. Great find.
You probably also told the teacher when they forgot to assign homework
Meh... I let people know when they ring things up wrong because I don't want their job to be in jeopardy.
Score of year nomination
thats so darn lucky!!!
I often crave vegetable sheets; I hope you do too
You did well!
I love you for being so honest. Most thrift stores support charities. Love that you got this so affordable!
Whoa! That is a unicorn find!
If you're single go back..
I love when the cashiers do that. With the ridiculous pricing going on lately, I love that some try to low key keep it in check.
upvoted for your honesty (and nice find)!
What do you plan to use your vegetable sheets for?
As long as the till is right at the end of your shift, then that's someone else's problem.
