Other apps like YouTube Vanced [question]
Youtube vanced is always my first app I install on every new phone and is a recommendation to all my friends.
What are some other must have apps like YouTube Vanced to make our lives better.
What are some other must have apps like YouTube Vanced to make our lives better.

Since the other person already mentioned adguard , I will recommend you other apps 1) Newpipe for downloading youtube videos. You can also create your playlist which can be very useful if you love listening to music in youtube. Like vanced background playing and picture in picture is supported. I mostly use it for downloading though. 2) Niagara Launcher. You will never have to search looking for your apps again after installing this launcher. The way it integrates homescreen and app drawer into a single user interface is what makes it stand out among other launchers. 3) Shortcut maker by Android-RK: I don't know if the latest android has implemented it by default but this 3rd party app works very well. Like how in Windows OS we could create shortcut to our personal file such as video , image ,etc right on desktop , in the same way this app makes it possible to create shortcut. You can also create many useful shortcut like creating shortcut to a particular setting ( for eg shortcut to your network setting right on homescreen). Honestly I haven't chceked all its feature but I use it to create shortcut to pdf file which I need to access quickly. 4) Google lens (if it is not already installed on your device). You can search by using image with this app. Sometime you just don't know what is that particular thing and you don't have any way to know beside asking the other person. Now you might not have to. Just scan that object with phone's camera and it will show you with relevant search results. 5) 1DM (formerly IDM): If you like to manage your downloads like me, consider installing this.I use it particularly for downloading large files and some media files from some websites. It also supports torrent downloads.
+1 for 1DM.
If you use Instagram theres a client that removes ads allows you to download everything and some other stuff. I deleted instagram so I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure what it's like currently but it's called instander and I think it was open source can't remember though

Fooview is must have app for me. It's floating browser, image viewer etc. But it also have a lot of other additional functions like basic photo and video editing, screen recorder, automated tasks... It's actually all in one app that you can use anywhere cause it floats over other apps.
It's awesome
Adaway - used for blocking ads. Viper4Android - tweaks your audio to the max. Quickswitch - changes your recents provider. Tachiyomi - best manga/comic reader. Tasker - automating tasks; great app for being lazy. SD Card Maid - cleaning phone from unnecessary garbage.
PowerAMP Equalizer is good replacement for Viper on non rooted phones
Gotta recommend Adguard for device-wide adblocking. Careful with it, though, it doesn't play well with MMS.
I think Adguard block only ads on websites for free. I use Blokada and it blocks all ads for free
Not exactly in the same vein, but as a utility, Clipboard Manager is a must-have for me. It stores every item of copied text as a series of notes, so that I can copy text and links in one go, then paste them from a pop-up menu off the permanent notification. This comes in handy, as my phone has limited memory and tends to aggressively offload apps, even when switching back and forth, so it's nice being able to copy and paste everything in one go.
Can you give the link to the clipboard manager app?
I'd recommend MiXplorer: the best file manager on Android. Created by those chads of XDA Devs. The app is in XDA Labs, you can't install it from Play Store for free. Besides, in Play Store you can find free useful modules for MiXplorer. That app is a must-have for me. FEATURES: It has multi-clipboard, OTA updates, works nice and fluent, is pretty intuitive, has integrated .xml editor, integrated ebook reader, root access, and creating folders from it doesn't mess up things when viewing files from computer, which is a problem every other file explorer I tried had, in any phone I've used. Edit: XDALabs is now disabled. MiXplorer is now available on its official website [MiXplorer.com](http://MiXplorer.com)
I downloaded the rc5 update today from xda. The website [Mixplorer.com](https://Mixplorer.com) just linked to xda devs.
[Bromite](https://www.bromite.org) \- an Ungoogled Chromium fork with additional features and clean interface. It can be downloaded via Fdroid with this repository: https://fdroid.bromite.org/fdroid/repo?fingerprint=E1EE5CD076D7B0DC84CB2B45FB78B86DF2EB39A3B6C56BA3DC292A5E0C3B9504
I would also recommend kiwi also based on chrome, that you can install extensions in
TwitchMod is a modded version of Android Twitch Application. Features: bttv/ffz emotes, adblock and more. t.me/pubTw
Another alternative to Blockada is personalDNSfilter
TwitchMod. Basically an ad free twitch clone that also shows BTTV and FFZ emotes as well. There should be a telegram chat you can download it in.
For ad-free Instagram try [Instander](https://thedise.me/instander/)
[deleted]
PowerAMP Equalizer It can equalize most of music players like Spotify
Yesterday I sent a list of recommended apps for my friends:- Instander: [https://thedise.me/instander/](https://thedise.me/instander/) alternative to Instagram, same UI, no ads, higher quality posts + stories, ability to download pics/videos. \- Relay Pro: Alternative to Reddit app, cleaner UI. \- Dentex Youtube Downloader, the name speaks for itself, very fast! \- Adguard for non-rooted Android phones. \- MiXplorer: [MiXplorer.com](http://mixplorer.com/) best file manager on Android, it even supports NTFS filesystem.
>Instander
what is the difference between the instander app provided at the link above and the one at [https://instander.app/](https://instander.app/) ?
AdAway
Tasker - Android automation (KWGT - Kustom Widgets, works with Tasker) Nova Launcher - good launcher with significant customization aCalendar - Calendar alternative Aqua Mail - email account handler Joey for Reddit - good reddit alternative MX Player - Local media player. Similar to VLC's player, but not as focused at downloading content. Pocket Plays - Twitch alternative
By chance: Where did you get your Tasker? I'd love to have it, but I dont have the money to buy it on the app store.
Not an app for all devices, but smartTubeNext is the fireTV friendly alternative to vanced. No ads. No bs. Loads of settings. Cool stuff.
I can't believe noone mentioned dns66.. systems wide adblock. Free too. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.jak_linux.dns66/
Ditto! Good stuff. Been using it for 2 ish years with not a prob. Love it.
firefox nightly as a browser with ublock extension
Brave Browser, I know this is Overrated but it now looks more modern than google chrome IMO
I've played with Brave for a couple of years. As of two updates ago I'm staying with it. Not perfect but the best out there at the moment.
Instapro is a version of Instagram with no ads, old lay-out, higher upload resolution and custom themes
I use edge as a browser as it has built in ad blocking while still being basically chrome.
Try Kiwi browse.
AdBlock, Night Mode, Extension support, button toolbar and one hand mode. Chrome on steroids
Bromite best adless browser
Plus messages is a better telegram client
Bundled Notes and Macrodroid
substratum
Is there a chrome or firefox type browser for android that accepts plugins like [Bypass\_paywalls](https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome)
Instander - it's just instagram but your able to download pictures or videos with a simple tap of a button, your also able to rewind or fast forward through videos, or make them full screen by holding down on them.
newpipe is quite nice, bit if a faff to import subscriptions but quite good.
