Absolutely, they add nothing and only exist to incentivize purchasing SL, they sure as hell don’t balance the game, just make certain vehicles unplayable

Buccaneer repair cost - 16.5k... can carry bombs, two shit missiles and maybe flares and 4 bullpups if you dump everything else. A-7D repair cost next patch - about 8.5k... can carry a 20mm cannon, 2 excellent missiles, flares, a full bombload at the same time, swap it out for two 30's or 20's if you like, 4 bullpups as well as aam's and the 20mm cannon or how about 4 super op self-tracking AGM's.
You forgot to mention that the Buc folds in half if you turn.
TFW when a double kill with an bonus award doesn't pay for repair... This game is so close to being great the only thing holding it back is that they use such scumbag tactics to milk it's player base.
can someone explain for a non WT player? i'm presuming as you died and dropped your payload, they flew to close to the crash and were hit by the explosion?

That looming pressure over me the entire game when you have a high repair costs. It’s always “you have to do good, you have to do something” then it makes it more frustrating when you die. If you’re going to make a repair cost high just make it so it gives you less reward if you die rather than taking away

IIRC, they actually carried retarded bombs for self-defense when flying low-level missions. Someone gets on your tail? Drop one and either kill your pursuer or force him to break off.
Yeah, not really hope to hitting the interceptor, but create smoke and debris to make it lose track.

On my Wyvern i have bomb fuse set to 3 sec. just for such cases. Can't do anything else when chased, after all.

That was actually a legit tactic that buccaneer pilots trained for and used it at Red flag. Called “Bomb in face”
