LOL - that was like her 3rd/4th, but yeah she’s done after a few sprints (I mean, she is 17 lol). But it warms my heart to see her get so excited after being cooped up for almost 2 weeks (been cold and snowy here, and it’s 55 today).
Jist lost the family dog after 14 years. He used to BOOK IT out of the house and would zoom all over the yard. I miss me and my siblings trying to chase the quick little dude. He died peacefully in a great home. I laid by his night kennel the day before he passed snd just pet him for a while. He was just laying there you could tell he was about to go. I miss Chico. Such a great dog and i know my father is so hurt. That was his best friend. Dogs are amazing.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine, as she is my world. I’ve been so very lucky that I’ve been able to spend every day at home with her for almost the last year.
I lost mine at 18.5 years. She was a Parson's and lived 10 years in South Africa then 6 months quarantine and the rest in Australia. She was an intrepid little lady!
Adorbs. I have a little rat terrier that used to be crazy active like that. Never turned down a walk, never wanted to stop walking once he started. He's just shy of 16 and slowed down to sleeping most of the day. I can handle pets passing, I had a couple pass previously, but watching him slow down so much is what gets me.
I have a little rattie too! Mine is almost 17, used to go for 10 mile hikes but now sleeps most of the day as well. It has been tough to experience, she’s a different dog now and I realized that I grieved the loss of the young girl, even though of course our old girl is ridiculously adored and absolutely rules the home
She gets a bowl of steamed rice, baked chicken and fat free cottage cheese for dinner. I started cooking her food about 7-8 years ago after she started having digestive issues more often than she should’ve. She also gets mashed sweet potatoes and canned pumpkin for a treat.
My 14 year old girl gets the zoomies in the house every time her kids come home. She runs around and plays with them and then sits and catches her breath. I love how she acts like a puppy sometimes.
God this brought flash backs to my old man, though he was no way near this energetic at 17. Provably goes without saying but cherish every moment with her, when she's gone it will feel like she went too soon regardless.
My parents had a Jack Russell when I was growing up. She had so much energy. She ran laps around the yard until she wore her own little puppy sized race track in the dirt. She was such a sweetie, too. No hunting drive, she just wanted everything smaller than her to be her baby. My sisters had guinea pigs, and we wound up with a rabbit at one point. My mom banished them all to live in the back yard, and the dog would take care of them all. She would chase out random cats and birds that came near the yard, and would bring the piglets inside when it got cold. When I was raising a bottle baby kitten she was OBSESSED. She was constantly checking on him, trying to groom him, cuddle him, and teach him to play. She was a sweet girl.
awesome!
my girl is 11 and about the same size, still running like a nutter, raised walking nearly everyday in a household where the wife and I are/were parttime/fulltime dog walkers/ pet sitters , much of the time hiking trails in the foothills with her and the clients dogs and somehow getting paid for that lifestyle.
Hope she has many years left and be blessed with good health
Oh that melted my heart. I have a rat terrier who’ll be 17 in may, and her days of running like that have been gone for a few years due to arthritis.
What an absolute doll your girl is.
She’s pretty spry for 17! I’m glad to see her up and running. We have a 20 year old Golden/lab mix at my MIL’s farm and she is slowing down tremendously but she still keeps going and won’t stop even after cancer in 2018-19. Old dogs are the best
I don’t know what it is but I’m loving your yard/neighborhood in this video. Might be the lighting, might be that I’ve lived in a city for a few years and miss having a yard, but it’s giving me a nostalgic feeling and I just want to spend an afternoon chilling in that back yard

::runs one lap:: ok that's it for today

She's perfect
Thank you so very much, she is my world.
That is honestly really fast for a 17 year old pup. Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. It’s working!

Ancient pupper
Haha she’s awesome! I bet she flew like the wind in her day.
Is she a Jack Russell?
She is!
So Strong and healthy at 17 so wonderful! Do you feed any special food/ diet/ supplements?

She's pretty spry for a old lady!
My only regret is that I have but one upvote to give for such an aww-some post.
Awe! Wow! She runs fast for 17!
Love seeing this. Getting the most out of life.
What a wonderful life you’ve given her.

I’m impressed w the camera work
I know this is probably the USA, but as an Australian DAMN does that brown grass make my brain scream "Noooo bindis!"
The regret that kicks in 3 seconds after running across the grass...owfuckfuckityowshitfuck hop hop hop
SHES SO FREE!!

Oh my goodness... So adorable, I have an 18 year old pug and she definitely can't move like that.... Haha
Zoomies!
My 14 yo does a lap like that and then sleeps the rest of the day. I'm cherishing her as much as I can in her older age.
Doggie heaven! Having good humans with a large yard to run and play in. It's the BEST any dog could dream of.
Zoom zoom
Good girl!!!! This gives me hope - my dog just turned 9 and everyone keeps saying he’s getting old but he’s still a puppy to me!!
Meanwhile my 9 yo Jack Russel has a convulsion when she trips on the hard wood floor and gets scared.
Is that. Chihuahua rat terrier mix? We have one but he’s all black (and now grey at 13)
God, even when they're old Jack Russells just cant fucking slow down
I don’t know why I was expecting to see a teenage human girl run out the door lol
This makes my heart feel so good
I appreciate seeing dogs live long and happy lives
She’s 17???!!!! She has found the fountain of youth somewhere...most dogs half her age can’t run that fast! She’s adorable AND awesome!

❤️❤️❤️
Very spry for being 17 years old.
17!? Jesus, JRT's have pure energy in their veins
That's a Jack Russell for ya! Ours lived to be 18 and he was pretty peppy until the last 3 years.
That little spirit of hers 😭
Aw!! I have a little JRT mix who is 15 - your girl reminds me so much of her!!! She also gets the zoomies in between her 12 hour naps ❤
She’s out there doing her laps, what a cutie!!
She's getting around great for 17!!!!
This is awesome. Still a puppy.
She's adorable 😭

This is exactly why i can't wait to have a backyard

Nothing makes me smile like a tiny dog running around all happy. I love big dogs but little dogs running is the best.
dude wtf, are you a cinematographer, or is that just the inbuilt stabilization! like that camera move was so damn smooth!
It’s my cake day, so I gave the warm fuzzy award to you. So sweet. I hope our Jackie Russell is as spry at that age.
Happy Cake Day! And thank you for the award!
17 years old dang Chihuahuas really just built different.
Jack Russell Terrier, just on the small side :)
This is so beautiful - my girl is 11 and i wish this energy (and ripe ol' age) for her too. Thanks for sharing OP! <3

My heart 🥺
One lap....and I'm done.
Aww she’s adorable! She looks like [my boy Kirby! ](https://i.imgur.com/gqswhcL.jpg) He is muuuuuch lazier though.
So, she’s a one lap dog.
17?!? Amazing! What an amazing pupper!
Spry
Ah the benefits of having a little dog. The big ones just don’t last as long.
Adorable little dog. Is that a jack russell/chihuahua mix?
one lap and done. tiny dog mic drop.
What a cutie pie‼️
That’s amazing for an old pup!!!
I hope my Jack has that much energy when she's 17!
yeah if she's running like that at 17 then I say she has many many laps left in her life. beautiful pup
She's so spry for her age
Lap Dog
Very much me. Walks outside 2 steps and I'm done with my daily workout
She’s so happy!!! 🥺🥰🥺🥰
❤️❤️
heck of a lap. good job
Impressive zoomies for a senior girl!
"she's here and she's perfect"
Your lawn stripes are starting to rut, change your pattern every other mow to avoid that.
Bruh. A house this big, with that much terrain, would be around 1.000.000€ where I live.
I was browsing r/all and was fully expecting to see a fully grown young woman pelt out the door and run around
Lmaoooooo I thought it would be a human girl and I was so confused why it was on r/aww until the doggo ran out
wow she’s full of energy for 17!!!
17 and running like that! She’s terrific!

Nothing matches the sheer joy of a terrier running! Thanks for sharing
I had less energy at 17!!

She's in incredibly good shape.
Wow, she's in great shape for 17!!
Sweet girl! JRTs are *soooo* energetic. I swear they never stop lol
She’s AWESOME 👏
wow she’s old
This much space would be like 3 Council houses in england
