Is it her first time having kids? We had a gal who was having her first batch of kids ever. Had triplets but only claimed 2 of them. The other one she wouldn't let feed. He was an all white lil goat and my lil 120lb mom went out there and milked that momma and started to bottle feed that lil goat. His name was Snowball, he was so cute. He ended up growing up with our dogs and kinda became one. He even taught the dog how to jump and wiggle it's ass midair like lil kids(goats) do when they are younger and just jumping everywhere.
Man. I had a lil white goat named snowball growing up. She would jump up and stand on your back if you bent over. She spent almost all her time out with the cows instead of with the other goats. I wouldnt see her for days so id go outside and shake a bag of corn chips or something and from a distance way out in the cow field youd see her come running. One day a random pack of dogs came around and attacked them and she didn't make it and we buried her in the yard. Super sad day. They also chewed through our goat Dorothy's leg all the way to the bone but she made it. She was my first goat who grew up with my Doberman and they both thought they were the same animal. They each would display characteristics usually reserved for the other species. Dorothy would lay down and cuddle up to you just like a dog. I miss having goats SO much, especially the babies.
Pay close attention and make sure one doesn't get neglected and malnourished. Almost all of ours that have had three turn one away and it ends badly if you don't intervene pretty quickly. They're beautiful though!
I was going to ask if all three can make it in this situation! I only have experience with horses so this photo immediately scared me, haha. I suppose with human intervention possible, it makes it much more feasible to help mama goat and keep all three kiddos safe!
In Bangla, we have a proveb regarding 3rd kid of a goat. 3rd kid of a goat meant the most neglected and unfortunate person. Hope this one is not neglected.
I've been present at many goat deliveries. It's exhausting for the babies and them resting or sleeping after birth is normal. All of the babies are mostly clean and dry and there is no afterbirth pictured so this isn't exactly *right* after she delivered
Oh my goodness!! My dream is to own and raise goats!! I'm working hard on being able to move to a place to do so. Congrats to you and the proud momma!!
“...yes, I’m doing fine but I’ve suddenly got an extra three kids in the family.”
“Oh my goodness, what are you saying, how can that be?”
“Goats, ha-ha! Three of the cutest little baby goats!”
I had one son naturally and not by choice. I was in intense labor for three days and hadn't eaten. All I wanted was a bowl of Cap'n Crunch. Some kind person at the hospital bought me some.
And after all her good work, she monch.
Lmao!!!!
“I’m freakin hongry!!!”
edit: thanks for the wholesomes and silvies friends!

How many teats do goats have? I know sheep only have 2. Whenever we have triplets on the farm we always bottle feed one.
i fucking love goats
r/animalsbeingmoms
Fun fact: goats have twins the majority of the time, but they're actually more likely to have triplets than a single kid
How much does a goat cost, I mean these are basically free goats, right?
You did great, pretty momma ❤️
