Love the sploot!
I lost it at the nudge. 🥺
Or is big doggo teaching small pupper to not be grabby?
I was thinking that too! When they're puppies that's something that as a dog owner you gotta do. Once they calm down a bit, you can let em have whatever they wanted, you don't want to feed their bad behavior.
Big doggo es a great father figure.
Can I borrow the big guy to give lessons to some people I know?
Pupper: oh, ok.
Doggo: You have earned +1 patience skill. Here's your reward, little one.
And that's *exactly* the right way to teach. The reward for calming down was immediate.
Should be labeled big doggo teaching very first predator/prey lesson.
I love it how he acts like he's sad. Manipulators these days I say.
the doggo looks like he wants to say:" man, sometimes it sucks to be the bigger brother... but its also always great!"
Now I’m cryin
its the little nudge at the end which gets me
That look at the end that tells his mom he knows he’s a good big brother. I can’t even!
Thanks for this on a Monday!!
Such a good dog
You got it backwards; it's the young pup doing the learning here.
Oh that’s just adorable
They let them win so the game doesn't stop. It's not entertaining if the other dog doesn't bother playing anymore.
Dogs are pure spirits.
I can't help but feel like at the very end big doggo is thinking 'You know that's not for keeps, right..?'
I think the big dog realized if he wants the puppy to play, he has to let him win sometimes, because he won't want to play if he's guaranteed to lose every time.
Oh my god. So pure.
thats so cute
They are just playing...
Na, my big dog does this to lure the small dog into getting the toy just so she can rip it away!
Yep. It’s the cutest/funniest thing ever lol!
Animals are so amazing
Sweetest doggos. May just watch it a few times more 🥰
For a dog to give up their favorite toy like that... wow. Really quite the gesture.
goddamn, did you see the little one sigh lol
That's a dog.
That little cutie was like "aw yissss" when it was his turn, meanwhile big boy saw mama watching and knew he'd get an extra treat :)
Ok. I think my heart just melted away, completely!
It’s so nice to see kindness on the internet once in a while.
When you have a 3ft tall great dane and a small malamute puppy:
The puppy isn't aggressive, is there. But doesn't forcefully take or tug.
Aww he never had to share before and then he did and he's like "wow careful there"
Oh my goodness! They are so cute. I nearly impulse-adopted a puppy after watching this haha :P
Big dog teaching little dog to grab, but little dog to little to get lesson. So big dog makes it easier.
That was precious!
The best pup!
Take note: when training a dog, this is actually a really good technique to use to deter food and object (bones, toys, etc) related aggression.
Notice how the big dog waited until the puppy had completely submitted before he/she let go of the toy. That’s basically signaling to the puppy that all this stuff is his/hers and that she/he is the alpha.
It’s important to mimic this behavior as a human and if you have children, have them do it as well. It will reenforce that all the humans in the house are alpha to the doggos.
I used to straight take food or toys out of my puppy’s mouth and pretend it was mine...like pretend to eat it. I’d kick him out and lay in his bed. And it was only after the puppy had completely given up, usually by laying completely down with his head flat on the floor or on the back and giving a big exhale that I’d happily give back whatever I had taken. Along with lots of kisses and boops and scratches.
I never used any sort of training beyond treats for good sits and stuff. And both my puppers are super happy and sweet and have zero aggression issues...which I guess is sometimes a challenge for Chow Chows?
Can't! resist! the! cuteness!
You forgot the part where he changed his mind and wanted it back.😄
We don't deserve dogs, but we need them. Sometimes for teaching us lessons about behaviour.
What a good boi!
Things that make you go AWW! Like puppies, bunnies, babies, and so on...
A place for really cute pictures and videos!
