Um but those are parakeets or budgies. Love birds are a significantly larger but not distantly related species
In some countries, there are no different names for those birds so people end up calling them all lovebirds. It is similiar to crocodyles and alligators etc.
They aren’t lovebirds. They are a budgie ( blue) and I think, a parakeet.
(Edited when I realised the yellow one had a longer tail and to add a link )
Also your pic however is adorable. I used to have blue budgies called Gregory Peck and Zoe.
While both love birds and budgerigar parakeets both belong to the order Psittaciformes and family Psittaculidae, love birds belong to a small sub family of Asian short tailed parrots. Parakeets are a large family and these guys are native to Australia. I’m glad they’ve gotten along!
Tx. I thought I was seeing things. Budgies (adorable) originally from Australia. There are also "proper" parakeets from, I dunno , South America? Like Monk Parakeets. Budgies are for some reason called Parakeets in the US.
they're cute together
I have more lovebirds but this pair is the cutest
omg 😭😭😭 so cute
They are so sweet!!
The blue is a Budgerigar. Isn’t that a cool name for a birb
The blue one is young...the other one is older...and they’re both adorable. Very nice!
