If you want an easy (definitely cheating) kill on this guy lure him to the elevator room and hit the button so the elevator raises leaving a hole in the floor, when he tries to attack you across the gap he will fall in the hole and die
God that sounds gruesome 😂🤣
10 years of gymnastics? You can cheese it pretty easily by going outside.
Crap...I gotta get gud
You gotta slam him.
Don't give him space and time to go crazy on you. Dodge forward, slam his back and watch out for the turn around attack.
I gotta get my slapping skills up!
I NEED To know why this thing is so damn fast
Don't be ashamed. I rushed to the bonfire next to it so I could retry without having to go through the bunch of fuckers from the undead settlement.
I hate them lol. I always make this one fall under the elevator :)
Word of advice: don’t get hit
I'll try 😭😭🤣🤣
Kind of cheating, but you can just run past him and open the doors behind him. Light the bonfire and then either cheese him from just outside or fight him legit but at least the bonfire is 15 feet from him.
It's a good way to practice fighting him. His moveset is very quick and it seems hard to time, but practice and letting go of panic rolling will do it... and knowing if you die it's a 2sec walk to get back takes some stress out. You can even practice parrying him.
This. This is definitely the easiest of the 3 because of where its located. Just run passed him, open the door and light the bonfire. He cant follow outside so its safe to range or rest if needed
Do anyone feel that first outrider is the fastest? The ones in lothric castle felt way slower than the road to sacrifice one's?!
Your not wrong there 😭
regret ahead, Time for hole.
I hate these I think more than any enemy in the game! I can't figure out their pattern for some reason, and they have SO muc BBC stamina, on top of their frostbite effect, good thing there are only 2 in the game (I believe only 2)
That one, I tricked into falling into the elevator shaft haha. I got the souls and the weapon anyway.
There are 3. This one, the one before the gate you raise in Lothric castle to go to DSA, and one behind an illusory wall in the Grand Archives, beyond which is the Soulstream spell.
Parrying works well if you don’t want to cheese
Get behind it and hit its ass
Damn let get my whip and try this again
Beating the dog piss out of him with flaming caestus to assert dominance works wonders.
I didn't think he was too hard. Definitely one you need to dodge with but get your openings and hits in and you'll whittle him down.
I see I see
The elevator method is the only way to kill him that I've ever bothered to use. Lol
Orrrr run through the door and get better gear and come back
Honestly if you're new to souls that was some pretty good play and reaction dodging. Funny vid good post. If your question at the end about what happened is earnest I think your last club swing fell just an inch short it has a tiny hitbox/range. You almost hadem tho
Thanks! And I realized how tiny his hit box was literally the moment I miss 😭🤣
Yes this one is a bit tricky early on. Keep close after rolling and try to get one hit at a time. You can try to lure him outside and cheese as well.
When people meet new enemies and thrown off guard is just so amusing, like how it was for me
I have never been able to kill a single Boreal Knight Outrider so I avoid these bastards at all costs.
You made the right choice 😭😭
I got him without getting hit this morning, +3 Mace
I died more to this guy than I did to the majority of the bosses. I’m on my second play through now though and this dude went down easily.
I beat him once legit, that's all I need. Now I just let him fall down the hole in every playthrough. Gives me a laugh every time.
I’ve beaten dark souls 3 probably more than twenty times and I STILL have to cheese or pretty much face tank these guys. They are way too fast in my opinion.
This fucker has 2 distinctive phases
1. Wailing around/ attaching
Try to stay close to him and fastroll into his side. One or two rolls then you attack
🤣😂 I'll keep that in mind thank you
Your rolling seems kinda slow. If you're wearing armour to try and tank blows you are better actually trying to tank them than avoiding damage. Otherwise the armour is mostly just weighing you down costing you speed and manoeuverability.
Allow yourself a few attempts to just see how it behaves and learn its patterns.
Don't allow yourself to panic. Otherwise you'll dodge unnecessarily and get hit or waste stamina.
.... don't allow myself to panic! 😭
See how it behaves and learn it's patterns 😤
Understood Sensei! 💯✨
If you run past him, you can open the door behind him and light a bonfire close by, he can’t fit through the open door so you can whack him with minimal effort
Yeah, the Outrider Knights are way too aggressive and way too fast for DS3 combat. Not impossible, but far more difficult to me than any boss but Gael and Friede.
1-He’s resistant to fire, and weak to dark
2- Stick behind him like Vordt, and try to memorize when he stays still after an attack
Just open the door and he can’t get through it
You mean you're supposed to fight him and not try to get him to fall down the elevator shaft?
I will say, you figured out a lot faster than I did that fighting the outrider in the open room by the elevator is not a good idea.
Try to stick close to the pillars. When the outrider attacks roll around to the other side of the pillar and he'll run into it. His attacks may clip a little, but if you're staying close enough before the roll you shouldn't get hit hard, if at all. I prefer to have my back towards the pillar so I can keep a better eye on the outrider, but it requires better awareness of your surroundings so you don't just roll into the pillar.
Make sure to use the pillars as a shield so you can heal happier that’s what I did and I mopped the floor with him with a +1 claymore and like no health but good luck on that he is a tough one
Vordt started working out
you can run and open the door behind him so you have an easy bonfire
In my fourth playtrough i still have problems with this guy
ahh yes the true mark of a newbie, getting greedy! haha! we've all been there.
oh trust me those thingd can run a marathon theres a video of youtibe of one of those bois rushing into the ringed city and almost making it to the judicator
He cant leave through the door behind him either, you can run past and then hit him while staying away from his reach. Like the old bloodborne werewolves on the bridge tactic.
Beautiful fashion souls
a much harder boss than vordt
I just throw fire from the door now haha, can't stand this guy but the sword he drops is sweeeet
...their that bad..
You can parry and riposte this enemy despite its large size
I feel those cathedral knights outside the mad king are the worst when it comes to relentless attacks. They have some infinite stamina bullshit and they hit super hard. I prefer fighting the outrider knights
Hug it’s ass
honestly i think your first problem was applying fire to a flammable object
Why do you have a shield equipped if you're never going to use it?
Always stay behind him, like with every single enemy in the series.
You can lure him to the door and then poke him with attacks from there.
You can just ignore him or try to parry if you're a real chad.
I killed it with bow without taking dmg.
