I had so much fun playing PVZ as a kid, specially the first time I played it through because I was also hooked on World of Goo so I alternated between those two and the combo worked perfectly for me. Great, nostalgic memories.
Gosh darn it I've playing WOG lately and got a really scary time when changed resolutions. Higher res are apparently a no go as the pull lever that shows after each level disappears beyond the screen
Edit: A typo; Also, i meant World of Goo lads, didnt knew it was a slur, hecking heck
I hooked my mum and my baby sister on console games by leaving my old PS1 and a copy of Spyro at their house. I hooked my mum on PC games with Plants vs Zombies while she was visiting my house. As I fired it up, she literally said, "Oh, is this one of those silly PC games?' Four hours later, I had to beg her to let me have my computer back so I could get some work done.
yeah PVZ 2 was a let down. It had such a cool idea of travelling through time and being in different areas, but it was super boring. They basically throw a million zombies at you constantly, but "balance it" by giving you incredibly overpowered plants and abilities.
Honestly I was disappointed they didn't add an easter egg if you literally do nothing before losing, maybe something like a sign saying 'wow, you actually fell for it.'
PvZ1 is a timeless classic. PvZ2 was alright in the beginning but just became more and more P2W overtime. Plants locked behind paywalls, plant leveling and more. Rip.
I highly recommend trying Plants vs Zombies 2: Project Eclise. As the name might suggest, it’s a community made mod for PvZ2 that overhauls the game. It does things like redo all the levels and the progressions system, as well as get rid of all micro transactions.
Plants vs Zombies is still one of my favourite games, and none can convince me otherwise. Great in its simplicity, yet still addicting with its gameplay
I was addicted to this one. Addicted to PVZ 2 too. Too bad EA screwed that one up by making everything pay to win and ads every 5 seconds.
You have to PAY to unlock Squash, Chomper, Ice Pea, and all those classic characters. Unbelievable
I have a slight crush on the woman who composed the music. She's so adorable with a truly lovely personality. She's so bubbly and positive and full of energy and life. Her live streams on Twitch during 2020 really helped me get through some rough nights.

Shame they had to change him into a generic Disco Zombie due to MJ's estate complaining about its inclusion.
I mean Disco Zombie has his charm. But MJ zombie was a perfect reference.

hated the sequels

The original is still among my favourites
EA ruined pvz and peggle, two amazingly nostalgic games for me. The mobile reissues are such obvious anti-consumer money grabs, it really sucks to see
Ill tell you years ago the mobile version of PvZ was actually good when it was a paid game.
But then they decided to throw in more monetization bullshit over time and make it free.
Fuck EA.
\>Perfect grammar \>**Houze**
they were so close

"Well, you actually fell for this. Not much brains for us to eat here..."

This was PopCap before EA bought them and ruined everything. RIP
Popcap was amazing
Fuck EA for ruining this franchise.
*There's a zombie on your lawwnnnn... 🎵*
We don't like zombies on our lawn
The sequels were very bad, thanks a lot ea
Probably one of the best games period. Especially the music
Easily one of the best puzzle games of all time. And at the same time its sequel was one of the most disappointing.
Casual gamer here, curious how this is a puzzle game. I remember it like a tower defense game.
Too bad they sold out with the sequels

Have you guys ever played Gem Td on WC3 ?
Absolutely the game that 7 year olds love to watch their parents play. Source; am father to a 7 year old who adores PvZ....
