Big Jim? That’s honestly a pretty cool name to call your dad, I bet he kicked ass at those games too
Going to go through his achievements later but I’m positive he rammed his way through all of them on veteran/hard.
My 74 year old father passed away on Saturday, and his name was also Jim. Sorry for your loss, may they Jim on in the good place.
Thank you and sorry for your loss as well. I’ve personally never met a jim I didn’t like.
Bad company 2 gives me such nostalgia
So Fecking Good. Really no other games lives up to it
Sorry for your loss.
Your father had a great taste in games however. Guns and cars are fucking cool.
Oh yes he did! I also loved the fact that he loved cod and bf equally. They both had their merits
I need to step away from the Reddit for a bit. I’m a wreck
Don't forget all the good things he taught you mate
Wait, he played Destiny 2? Did he play the expansions or just the main game?
It came with the Xbox we bought him. Not his cup of tea but was too nice to not sell it or give that game back.
Homefront was such a good game. RIP
I honestly don’t know if he played that one. If he started it and didn’t finish it, I’m gonna have finish the regime in his honor.
Fantastic collection he had
aw call of duty 3 in disc form, so rare. condolences. yea mine passed too.
I’m going to have to play through all of these in his memory.
May he smile upon you from within your heart, with an Ak-47 in hand
More of a .303 kind of guy!
GAME IN PEACE BIG JIM
Your grandpa must have been cool as fuck.
My condolences on the passing of your father. I worked QA on Homefront, it was actually my first game in my career. It wasn't the best-rated shooter, but I'm always glad to know of people who enjoyed it as well
Gonna drink a beer in his name today.
Thank you. His preferred choice was coors!
That Perfect Dark just slidin in. Great collection.
Man that sucks. My friend's dad who loves gaming died on monday. I wonder if this is just a Baader-Meinhof phenomenon thing? Don't normally notice this kind of post.
I'm sorry for your loss, that must be incredibly difficult. Awesome collection!
I spoke with him on the phone once a month. Last time I saw him was about 5 years ago. That what makes it so difficult. I will forever live with the regret of not doing the drive across Ontario at least once a year to see him.
I just have to say that Forza/Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a weird but good combo. Sorry for your loss.
I never knew such a thing existed.
I hate to just type the standard “Sorry for your loss” response. It doesn’t even begin to cover what you must be feeling and dealing with at the moment. Personally, I believe in prayer and I will say a prayer for you and your family.
Thank you. It has definitely been an emotionally charged roller coaster ride. I appreciate your prayers. Not our thing but we don’t judge the people that do. It is very much appreciated.
Only thing missing is bad company 2 :)
The title just above the first bad company. I know he absolutely loved the campaign in those games.
If you really cared about honoring him this post would have not existed
Right he literally is whoring out his dead dad for internet validation
God bless ya soul
So sorry for your loss. I have a very similar collection of games. He had great taste!!!
Condolences man. I have to say the pgr series was one of my absolute favourite racing games series. Still holds up well today.
Your dad played video games? That's awesome, it must have been great playing with him. My dad just thought they were a waste of time.
Rest in peace Big Jim.
Looks to me like he *loved* guns and *dabbled in* cars...
Wanted to jump on a game today but need to do it on my older ps4. So, I'll be doing a few missions on Far Cry 4 for your dad. RIP
I bet he loved to kick ass in those games cause I do to
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I worked on one of those games. I’m one of the older people in the business and I love gamers like your dad.
A boring photo of some games along with a sob story.
Classic bait post on gaming.
Don't forget everyone saying "F" over an actual person dying
Dad died? Hurry and post to reddit!!!
Sometimes people like to talk to strangers about it because it’s easier than talking to loved ones
Plot twist: they just bought this on eBay
Karma whoring at its best/worst. But sadly no, the old boy is gone. And this was his rig and collection.
If he left you any guns take good care of them for him. Keep them well fed and make sure they don’t just collect dust. Take them to the range in his memory occasionally at the very least.
Cherish the memories you have with him. I lost both of my parents a few years ago now and it still hurts. Be happy for the time you got to spend with him because I know he’s happy for the time he got to spend with you.
Absolutely. I’m sure by next time when we get back up to northern Ontario, where he was, we will have a day of shooting.
Sorry for your loss my friend. Lost my dad in January. Feel hugged.
I actually really enjoyed Homefront
Pile of games and a sob story, off to the front page we go
Now where are his guns
Much love to you! Looks like Jim will be missed. My condolences.
Rest in Peace to your pops. Seemed like a cool dude.
Sorry for your loss man
Quite a nice collection ya got there
So sorry for your loss. It'll get better in time. Focus on the good times and happy memories
My condolences for your loss.
Battlefield 2 Moderrn Combat and Perfect Dark Zero are two "bad" games I played a ton of. I'm still not entirely sure the former was an official Battlefield game, feels like a knockoff. I also have distinct memories of being unable to finish some coop levels in PDZ because there were not ammo drops. Which if why you switch to the plasma rifle that regens its ammo.
May his soul rest in peace. He definitely had great tase
Sorry about your dad, he seemed really cool.
🎶"May your live, never end, and if you, need a friend, there's a seat, here along side me."🎶
Sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss.
My father passed away at age 50 last year, he had a collection of games very similar to this but his old xb360 died in a flood earlier that year.
The xbox was the same one I used back when the 360 was still new, depressed the shit out of me when it broke. So many memories on that thing.
Because I have both his 360 and Xbox one, I formatted the hard drive and took his profile off the 360 this morning. Broke my heart to do that, but he will live on, on the Xbone
Well he definitely had good taste, d2 and ghosts are some of my favorite games
What a great collection of games.
I noticed that there are some available for the special Xbox 360 blue edition
Big Jim who raced at RCHQ?
No sir. Was part of a pit crew at Westgate back in the 90’s.
Respect and much love to you and yours kin and kind.
that's a great collection of games, man knew what was good.
Quite a collection there. I also lost my old man at 71 almost two years ago. My sincerest condolences, internet stranger.
Thank you, fellow human.
Huge respect for your father ✊
I bet you had a great time with him :) he had a great taste tbh.
It seems like everyone owned a copy of Perfect Dark Zero at some point
My condolences to you and your family.
Project Gotham Racing should come back in the 20’s
All of these were bangers! Sorry for your loss!
I’ll reload some .357 in his honor tonight
Nice! You gonna post pics of his guns?
Jim had good taste in video games. RIP hope your respawn is peaceful.
Home front used to be the shit, that game was so underrated
