170 yard 9 iron. Not the 9 iron I carry in my bag.
Holy shit that’s like my 5 iron
Jeezus, Tommy's caddy is enormous.
I can’t tell if he’s a little fellow or his caddie is a monster.
Didn’t he hole-in-one in the WGC match play as well? That’s sick to get two in that close proximity to each other, with one at the Masters
I think it was him and Justin Thomas made back to back hole in one's
Love that he raises his arms with everyone else then immediately lowers them before anyone else. Like, "No! Be professional, Tommy!"
I would imagine it’s because he was aiming about 10feet right of that point. He’s delighted it went in but there’s an element of luck.
I love the shot of the crowd at the end. It looks like the YMCA came on at a wedding
170 yards, club: 9 iron. That's some crazy distance! My 9 iron goes like 120 tops.
you weakling. on r/golf 170 is a pitching wedge
He gets some type of badass crystal trophy or something for an ace too. I know Augusta gives out crystal tumblers or something for eagles and other notable accomplishments but I’m sure the ace comes with something sweet. Pretty awesome place to turn in a 1!
For some reason I like them so much better when the ball approaches straight in line between the player and the hole. It makes it seem so much more skillful as opposed to spinning the ball and it jumps around before finding the hole. Not like any ace isn't a massive byproduct of skill, but these seem to be the ideal ace.
I prefer the topped worm burner 90 yard ace on a par 3 course.
Why does he high-five like that?
Anything due to being from that side of the pond?
Be cooler if it was Mick Fleetwood.
Nah.. Christie McVie would go all Elin on him, and Stevie Nicks would be going "baa-baa-baa" in between scarfing down bites of the tee box.
is his caddy huge or is he tiny?
Only way I’d hit my 9 iron 170 yards is if it were downhill, with the wind, rolling down the cart path, and taking a members bounce of a tree after totally blading the shot.
Fucking love this guy
That hop at the end was weird.
I love seeing how many people threw both hands up
That's so much easier than putting...
Man, the shot was great but hearing Verne Lundquist announce it just makes me feel comfortable. All is right in the world with Verne announcing The Masters.
Looks a little bit like a homeless jesus sponsored by Nike.
Why does the broadcast ruin it by telling us it's going to be a HIO? So frustrating, they f#ck up a perfect golf moment.
Was this recorded on a gameboy color?
This is another reason why the masters is my favorite tourney. They just serve you up a hole where you can “easily” make a good shot. Sure things can go bad and you have to make a putt but they are giving you every chance to get one back.
Fleetwood Mac Baby!
How many lifetime HIO’s do some of these guys have, you think?
Here from r/all, never played before. How do they see that it went in from so far away? Is it easy to tell?
You can see the ball from about 350 yards, if your vision is at least decent.
Nooo! i missed the first day? I hate being so fucking stupid.
welcome in the future
TIL humans cant stand still and cheer. as soon as the arms go up, they have to slowly wobble forward
"Noice shot Tommy Fleetwood"
Was this filmed on a free Android phone that someone received when they signed up for Boost Mobile in 2011?
Awkward ass high fives tho
Could they get a worse announcer? no.....he just gave it away before he hit the ball.... terrible
[Why did I have to be wearing this shirt?](https://twitter.com/nolayingup/status/1380281706066931712?s=21)
When I did turf management on golf courses we always got dirt cheap polos and then I look at what the pros wear and think “wtf”
Mullets are back. r/blunderyears will have material for decades
Anybody know the loft of that 9 iron?
