What about “I hope they remember you”.
my favorite thanos line, but i dont think it was terrifying, it was just amazing shit talking titan shit.
"They're not for him" by Red Skull in Infinity War.
“You should’ve gone for the head”
I agree this is the closest one.
Both come upon impending death. Arrogance in the face of death is terrifyingly intimidating.
I always enjoyed "Fine, I'll do it myself".
I hoped finding that quote way upper but:
>Reality is often disappointing
"In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter, it was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it. "
Yeah this line cemented his tyrannical regime and I loved it.
“Good ol’ Spider-man…”
Keaton was scarier in that car just being Keaton than he was in any of the vulture gear.
Surprised I havent seen it here, but one of my favorites is Thanos' last line in Guardians1. That is when he pretty much solidified his tangible presence in the MCU.
"But return to me again empty handed, and I will bathe the starways in your blood."
Also, Thanos' mini speech towards Tony on Titan really struck a nerve. He's so confident he'll succeed and takes pity on them.
"I hope they remember you."
Thats my favorite infinity moment. When Thanos recgonizes who he is, I just love it.
"You know me?" Lol so awesome.
“It broke my heart to put that tumor in her head.”
Fuck me, the wave of hate I felt for that guy when he said that...
Probably right up there with "I want my bird."
I took your stuff.
How does that make you feel?
„I’m sorry, Little One.” broke me
"did you do it?"
"What did it cost?"
It's obviously "And I killed Sparky too"
There was never an excuse for this much evil.
But when miss minutes comes in on the last episode
That almost killed me lol
The best jump scare of the MCU.
“All that for a drop of blood”
This is the one for me
"Jessica... Jessica... "
Oh God, that tone..
I think I would still go with Ultron's famous line.
"I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me..."
100% that still creeps me out to this day lol
You never see me coming. Oh wait never mind.
Ole ole ole!
Thanos snaps the infinity gauntlet
Thor, confused, unsure as to what it truly meant: “What did you do?”
That moment, those words brought a terror I never felt before from a movie.
But I guess it was four words, so yeah, Kang wins yet again and got even more terrifying with one less word…a truly epic moment from the true beginning of the next phase of this MCU existence…the next generation of actors taking over and it’s gonna be amazing
And Steve collapsing and saying "Oh God". 😬
The scariest thing about him is how impossible it feels for him to lose. Thanos was immensely strong, but he had his limits. However, how can you defeat someone who’s victory is predestined by the universe?
You're so right, he might lose in THIS timeline, but you haven't faced his variants in other timelines.
One thing though, I wouldn't say "predestined." Choices were made and battles fought, he just knows the choices and battles.
Most haunting words: “You mess with time, it tends to mess back…you’ll see…”
"You don't fuck with time!"
“You’ll neverrrr see me coming.” From Iron Man 3, despite the bait and switch.
P.S. Welcome to the MCU J. Majors. I look forward to the horrors you’ll wreak 🥲.
“Terrifying” might be the most overused word on Reddit.
“I, am, inevitable”
While I agree this is a great Thanos line, I think a more terrifying one is “Destiny arrives all the same. And now it’s here, or should I say…I am.”
Really does a great job of outlining the force that Thanos believes himself to be/actually is
Edit: Now that I think about it, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” was ominous as hell at the time
"This does put a smile on my face" is up there
Wilson Fisk’s “Just. Wait.” line from Daredevil season 2.
"I Killed Thor"
maybe not scary but oozing in subtext just like this one.
OP one is better because you can hear the same phrase when >!Sylvie kills the Time Keeprs!<
I actually had to pause after that part and think to myself for a minute. Like damn!
I still that Thanos saying “Should’ve aimed for the head” and then snapping was the most badass
They’re up there! Mostly because he had such an affable, friendly personality, and you just know the next guy won’t. So these are so ominous and foreboding.
I personally am loving this and am super excited for badass evil Kang and I am glad Sylvie killed him
