A lot of people who say #nofilter or “unedited” don’t realise that phones these days do a lot of HDR-style adjustments to your photos automatically “Smart HDR” is the setting on iPhones I think
I always use the HDR setting on my Samsung and got a similar effect when i took pictures of a rock

You may not have edited it yourself but your phone did. This is an HDR picture. But I agree it came out pretty funny.
Most phones today will automatically enable HDR if it sees it would benefit the photo

Fun fact- the tellatubbies sun is actually a girl, and she has grown up! There was a post a while ago that depicted her with a baby insinuating that it was hers but was not confirmed as I recall. Still crazy
And she has her own kid as well.

It actually looks like your subject was backlit and in shadow so you used a localized adjustment brush to brighten up the exposure on his face but went too far. If a phone did this automatically then that's really not good.
