My grandmother isn't much of an internet person so i figured id share her quilt of Canada that she spent the last 8 years on.

Jesus Holy Christ. This info just made it about 1000x more impressive. A quilt like this would still be great if made with the help of machinery, but achievable. Hand-made? OOF!!! 🥵 Grandma is an absolute savage and master at the craft, I’ve known people with decades of experience that wouldn’t even come close to this... Can we have an HD image my guy?
After your family has enjoyed this for a few years/generations you might consider donating it to a folk art museum. Its an amazing piece now, in 50 or 100 years it will have real cultural significance. Beautiful. Edit: thanks for the gold. I remember my first year of college I went out to explore one day and ended up in the university arts center. There was a touring exhibit of quilts, many of them from Appalachia, most from the plains. Some were over a hundred years old. Beautifully displayed. All one of a kind. Hand made. I understand the comment suggesting it stay in the family, and I agree. But like I said after a few generations of family enjoyment something like this really could and should be shared with the public.
