My dad is a Holocaust denier. I tried researching it but these conspiracy theories are getting out of hand (would it surprise anyone if I said he was also a flat earther?) EDIT: I’m sorry we completely diverted from this amazing post, highlighting the unbelievable work of these people. In the true spirit of its name, which can be translated into "Do Good Brothers" 😀 It is one of the oldest hospitals in Rome (~500 yo) and the island where it is located is dedicated to the cure of illnesses since roman times (there was a temple dedicated to the god of medicine)

Genuine question. Why wouldn’t the Nazis just put down all of these “sick” Jews? They clearly already want them dead, and a horrible, contagious disease seems like the perfect excuse to exterminate them.

while this is an interesting health fact in general... Without any context it would give credence to the people who have drunk the q-aid I.e. "the Nazis were tricked into not executing Jews through a fake illness" can easily be turned into "diseases can be fake and have been faked in the past... Specifically deadly and highly contagious diseases. Do not make the same mistake Nazis did" Like yes this is a good and interesting thing on the surface but in the current climate I do not think it is prudent to post really anything about a contagious deadly disease being fake. especially with how the very real covid virus IRL has been disproportionately affecting black and Latino Americans. It is just dog whistling with more layers.
