He was a bad president. Never won a popular vote, never had an approval rating over 50 percent, ignored science, lost control of a pandemic, never had a command of the office, aligned himself with radical groups, surrounded himself with yes-men, played footsie with Putin, golfed all time, inserted his family in government business, was impeached twice. Ffs.
No surprise here.
There are literally thousands of Americans who died because of his ignorance - one study estimates 40 percent of the pandemic deaths could have been prevented had there been a quick and effective response at the start. Never forget there is blood on this man's hands! Including his close friend Herman Cain who died of covid weeks after attending the unmasked Tulsa rally
Under Trump, the MAGA hats at my local bar loved talking about how we were "respected again." Always made me wonder how many international contacts they had, how many times they'd been outside the country...
This is one of those things you won’t find out from watching Fox News
Well I’ll be damned. Trump really made America great again. It’s just that it happened once his ass got tossed out
The Right is angry bat the world and seek to sabotage it. The Right has lost most of their talking points on Climate Change, evolution, healthcare, taxation, etc. They are in a full on trantrum phase. They know their ideas won't help anything or anyone but don't care. They aren't interested in helping. They are interested in punching the world in the face.
And making money while doing that.... can't forget their obsession with making sure some people make more money that others....
Let's be honest it's a global yell of approval from all of the other countries where idiot strongmen, vicious nearly dictators, or bumbling hangers on in the case of BoJo are ruling with no signs of incoming consequences.
Because lets face it, if we couldn't get rid of someone like trump with our VERY strong democracy - how the hell will they get rid of putin or bolsonaro?
It was a major inflection point, but if you've been following American politics what I fear is when this carousel of shit spins around again in 4-8 years it's always worse each time.
No wonder authoritarians wanted Trump re-elected so he could blow it all up from the inside - something they could never do it from the outside.
Kind of like how taking an enormous dump will result in a good weight loss number.
Trump hates the world.
And vice versa
History is not going to be kind to Trump and I love it. Time will show how much of a douchebag this guy was and I thoroughly regret voting for him. Won't make that mistake twice.
Just another example of how delusional all the MAGA people are.
Trump was the worst president ever
This article has attracted dozens of Russian trolls merely spewing nonsense.
For anyone who thought America was more respected under Trump take it from Europe you weren't. We went from amused that you'd actually elected him to aghast at what he came out with to terrified at what might happen.
Personally I lost a lot of respect for America during those 4 years and I realise for a lot of you that makes zero difference but I'm by far the only one. It's going to take a long time to rebuild America in the eyes of the rest of the world because we know you are only 4 years at most away from potentially electing a racist psychopath.
It is worse to live here and know ~49% of fellow voting population will vote for a lewd, corrupt, narcissistic white man due to a false presumption of strength and business savvy. A man whom, by all means, has no respect for science, democracy, nor decency. At best, his ineptitude is responsible for the death of at least 500k fellow Americans. At worst—more than likely— he knowingly promoted falsehoods with the intention to deceive Republicans and to murder Democrats in urban areas. We are still in shock and utterly disgusted by both him and his supporters.
Biden is doing ok.. but lets not mince words here, trump was the worlds easiest act to follow.
Tbh, I’d have voted for a gas station egg salad sandwich over Trump, and have walked over broken glass to do so, and I would still be able to praise the rotting sandwich right now for being better than Trump.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.businessinsider.com/the-us-global-approval-rating-spiked-after-trump-left-office-pew-2021-6) reduced by 66%. (I'm a bot)
> The global image of the United States has vastly improved under President Joe Biden from all-time low ratings under President Donald Trump, data released by Pew Research Center on Thursday indicates.
> Pew polled 16,254 people in 16 countries from March 12 to May 26 and found a major shift in their attitudes since Trump left the White House.
> The US's median favorability rating increased by 28 percentage points, one of the biggest spikes since Pew started polling more than two decades ago: It jumped to 62% this year from 34% in 2020.

Well, Trump did do two things when he left.
America became a laughing stock of a country with a President who through staring at the sun during an eclipse was a good idea. Or even nuking a hurricane. But, Trump tried to say Obama was the one who made America a laughingstock
THEN, after Trump left, he left the world with a horrified husk of an American Democracy in flames. So now, we are the worrying concern of World Leaders, because right now, we have Republican assholes who are going out of their way to keep the flames going.
Well, yeah, just like the munchkins sang joyously when they saw the wicked witch was dead. That's how the downfall of a villain tends to be received.
We won't see this on Fox.
The Trump presidency brought America its lowest approval ratings with the rest of the world. If you consider he was working for a hostile foreign power it was working as intended. He still is by continuing the big lie and push division and hate in America.
We felt the same when Bush left office. Okay, maybe not quite the same. We were far more relieved when Trump fucked off.
We pull our pants up and stop showing our hairy ass to the world and suddenly we have friends again. Go figure. I’m just afraid we will drop them again soon.
Tell Fox to pass that on.
Rivaling the relief and increased approval from the switch to Obama from Bush.
Remember when Bush was such a rotten president? Seems quaint and naive now.
Ensued a riot that costs many people’s lives in January 6. Any person still on the Trump wagon is a Zealot, and can’t be reasoned with.
Kind of easy when your new President is an actual human being and not a massive bell end.
Trust me the world breathed a massive collective sigh of relief.
What annoys me about the red-hats is that no matter what happened, it was proof that Trump was magnificent and god-like.
Foreign democratic leaders tended to hate him and laugh at him, but that was proof he was magnificent. But if foreign democratic leaders had tended to admire him, that would ALSO served as proof that Trump was magnificent.
Reversible spin. We saw it under George W. Bush, but it took off under Trump to the point that it was insane.
I mean, you could have put a ham sandwich in as the new President and still gotten roughly the same kind of ratings bounce. The last guy didn’t endear himself to anyone but his own cult.
Though the US isn’t seen as the leader in democracy anymore
Yeah, but that happened back in the Bush administration and only got worse under Trump.
That happened the last time we rid ourselves of a corrupt republican administration, too. I'm sensing a pattern, here.
At least Trump didn't start another war, despite his best efforts.
Biden is “mentally incapable” of running the country and yet he’s doing a better job than Trump. Curious.
Why does this surprise anyone?
It showed that democracy can defeat a tyrant. I imagine that was very inspirational to lots of nations that are struggling with democracy.
I agree, but he'll be back. I live in the south and so many people love him the same way they might love a WWE wrestler. Not to mention the GOP is lined up behind him and tactfully suppressing voters.
I'm afraid that one day the GOP will find it's Feyd Rautha and ditch the beast Rabban.
Donny shits his Depends on the regular.
That’s pretty cool. Too bad we’re more than dumb enough to do it again but ten times harder.
I should think it did Trump was appalling in every sense of the word
Nowhere to go but up
I am happy and I don't even like Biden that much.
My kids have been alive for two republican presidents and one democratic president during trump is the ONLY time my kids asked me are we still in America? Are we still free. Hell my 9 yo marched with BLM last summer. Proud of her.
USA needs to be vigilant about voting rights for all.
And they also need to watch out for candidates who lean toward dystopian way of life. It would appear to be near on the horizon.
We all globally are attempting to breath again. Have hope.
Surprise… the less racist, less corrupt, and less violent President is more popular than the more racist, more corrupt, and more violent President.
That's the high before the crash, sorry guys I'm on good authority he's reinstated August /s
I thought it was supposed to be this June? They keep pushing it back.
Trump is the single worst human being in history.
Not just as a leader or president but actual human. Every single negative trait a human being can possess is wrapped up in that flabby slab of orange shit.
With effort, I can find SOME positive trait in any other person. There's literally nothing good or decent about the miserable bastard that is Donald Trump.
So you are telling me Trump is worse than hitler?
Any humanoid with a decent amount of ability to form coherent sentences would have done well after the Trump shitshow. Biden is by no means an outstanding or “great” president but Trump just set the bar that low. I have to hand it to Biden, he is professional, courteous, focused and most importantly it looks like he knows when to keep his mouth shut. I’m a pre-Reagan conservative and Biden would’ve been a Republican in my day.
Well done. You all get a cookie. You took one of the worst human beings in America, one of the stupidest, laziest, pettiest, narcissistic pieces of shit, and made him your leader. We’re on our way to being okay, but we’re still a long way from okay.
No one got less done than this half wit
As I recall there were only two names on the menu last Nov. I'm absolutely thrilled Trump is playing golf in Mar a Lago these days instead of creating havoc and chaos for the entire world.
Putin's posterior is getting smooched a little less often these days.
This is like comparing CPI during the pandemic to now. Of course the CPI grew because the CPI was at unheard of low levels a year ago.
If I am on life support then breathing on my own is a huge jump. Now compare to 2014.
