Alright, my time to shine. Islamic History YouTuber here (weird credentials, I know). The "constitution" of Madinah is one of the earliest documents of Islamic History and even the most skeptical historians (such as Tom Holland) consider it pretty authentic. That document was to serve as an agreement on how the different groups of people in Madinah would behave under Muhammad's leadership. This was in the early years after Muhammad's migration to Madinah in 622. In that document, Jews and Christians are considered separate religions but part of the "Ummah" or community. Today, only Muslims are considered to be the "Ummah". However, this shows that the Muslims consider themselves distinct even early on, from the Jews. Like them, yes, but a distinct religion. Jews were considered to be closer to Islam than the Christians. Interestingly enough, Muhammad followed a lot of Jewish practices early on, like fasting on Yom Kippur and facing Jerusalem to pray. However, due to political reasons, he started to steer away from Jewish traditions after a few years. Additionally, early Muslim rivalry with Byzantine Empire and considering it "Dar al-Harb" or "Land of War" shows that the Muslims didn't consider themselves to be the same religion as them. Muslims always considered themselves to be the pure religion of Abraham before it was "corrupted" by Christians and Jews.

I found out that my grandfather actually killed his mother. She yelled at him because he didn't do anything and he got angry and threw a metal pot at his head (this was in Pakistan) and she died. His father decided not to press charges as he didn't wanna ruin his son's life. He later became a class A dick and had a negative impact on all of his children plus my grandmother.

I tried it. It worked for a while (this was at the start of the year) but it broke for some reason. I tried fixing it again and again but it didn't work. Python is working. In addition to that, if there's a problem, I can just get the YouTube API and get data from that.

So, what I did was, I created a webscrapper in Python and used it to gather the data. Then, the Python script writes it onto a text file. I simply used Rainmeter to show whatever is in that file. Lua scripts can be used for this. I took the idea from the sticky notepad skin. Now, the problem remaimed that I had to run the script to refresh the count. I simply converted it into an exe file (pyw works too) and used Rainmeter RunCommand to call it every sixty minutes. It's still a work in progress but it's working.

Did it? There wasn't even a plan of succession or on the election of caliphs or the limits to the power of such caliphs. Islam leaves a lot to be desired in state issues.

Timur the Lame was the great Turko-Mongol conqueror who rose from his humble beginnings to carve out an empire from the pieces of the shattered Ilkhanate, which itself was a Mongol successor Khanate.

Yeah, the two famous guys were Khalid ibn al-Walid and Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas. Khalid is said to have never lost a battle in his life. However, he was dismissed by the caliph because he was too good in the battlefield and you know what kinda threat that poses to the monarch.

The title only allows like 300 characters. I couldn't fit all those details in so, I tried to make a witty remark. Frankly, you're generalizing a lot of history. Turks didn't make up the army till Al-Mutasim included them in his army around 833. Most of this conquest was done by Arabs, largely non-Muslim. Levant, Iraq and Egypt fell during the reign of the second caliph only 12 years after the death of the prophet and Persia was broken by then as well, although, its conquest would take a few years to complete. Arabs didn't "penetrate" into Byzantine territory. Pre-Islamic Arabs lived and traded in the Levant.

I'm thinking, "Can't eat gold, damn it!". Although, he wasn't actually locked. He was wrapped up in a carpet and trampled to death. The gold thing is just made up to show how excess and greed led to the downfall of the Abbasids.

I'm sorry, the MIGHTY EASTERN ROMAN Empire that had just lost like half of its territory. As one of the later Abbasid caliphs remarked, "The least of my territories ruled by the least of my subjects provides a revenue larger than your whole dominion". Although, the caliph could drop the mic because Newton hadn't invented gravity yet.
