>This usually means there is no way for another PS4 or the PS5 to read the data from the disks. I used my external hard drive on my cousin’s PS4 and it worked. The only thing it checks is the PSN ID of the games in the drive. As long as you use the same PSN ID, it works.

Yup. I’m hoping they’d support PS4‘s extended HDDs directly. The games are protected anyway because they are linked to the PSN account.

Instead of having to wait for 30-40 seconds, it may be reduced to something as low as 5 seconds. Virtually it still means having no loading screens. Mark Cerny talked about this during the Road to PS5 show.

They will add them. Instantaneous transitions in game will make it seem unrealistic. If PS5 is as fast as Sony claims it to be, every developer will add a delay to emulate a loading screen.

Yup. This is logical because Sony isn’t doing much to push for all-digital, so understandably majority of PS users want the option of disc drive. Undercutting Series X will drive so many people towards PS5.

PS5 doesn’t need a remaster version. The PS4 version will upscale to take advantage of the PS5. Sony said they’d test each title before making it available for PS5. So, ideally, if you own the PS4 disc or digital version, you should be able to play on PS5 without having to purchase again.

Not an issue for me because I rarely buy them at launch. I’ll wait for the price to drop and buy a preowned copy and after playing it, I’ll most likely sell. But yes, I agree with you that it’s impossible to buy AAA games for me on launch day, paying $60 for it.

I would still prefer a good 4K tv with HDR than a monitor that doesn’t have HDR. Edit: I get why my comment might sound stupid, but I saw the difference with my own eyes. HDR dramatically improves the quality of the image than higher resolution does. I found a 1080p TV with HDR to be so much better at image reproduction than a 4K monitor. I have both.

That’s not the point I was trying to make. I’ve been a PS user for the last 15 years and I always identify the buttons by the shape, not the color. In fact, Sony’s move to remove the color received praise from developers because prompting the color of the button during quick time events forces the devs to use that color in the game world, which wouldn’t be used otherwise. It’s a minimal design choice, even Xbox implemented it.

Sony optimizes the controller to have minimal lag. As long as they make it specifically for PlayStation, there will be no problems. But adding the functionality to connect any Bluetooth device poses a lot of problems. For instance, Bluetooth affects WiFi speeds.

Bluetooth presents more problems. 3rd party headsets will most likely output laggy and out of sync audio. The best solution is to use wired headset connected to the controller. Since all Bluetooth headphones will have an AUX cable option, it won’t be an issue.

It’s like Witcher 3 with lighter movement. I absolutely loved it. They basically removed the inventory management and made the open world as smooth to navigate as possible. This forces the player to complete more side missions, explore the entirety of the map.

Unfortunately, you can’t. You can clone it but can’t use it again without initializing the hard disk first. If you’re a PS Plus member, you don’t have to worry about the saves since they’re stored online. You can just download them after signing in to your PSN account. Otherwise, your saved data is lost. That’s why it’s recommended to back up saved data to a pen drive from time to time.
