Penny is the same way. All her toys are immediately eviscerated. As soon as I got this I presented it to her like a pillow and praised her when she rested her head on it. So she thinks it's her own personal pillow and not a toy (so far). Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I mainly try to get stuff from small independent distillers so not sure what big name brand might be most comparable. I'd say I find it most similar to a pecan-finished bourbon from Wood Hat Distillery in MO and Troy & Sons Blonde from NC if that helps at all.

Lol I tried it neat first, then decided that was way too dangerous if I wanted to remain conscious for a while. The ice helped slow my roll

I'm just sipping it on the rocks at the moment. I usually like a spicier bourbon for cocktails so this might just be reserved for neat/rocks sipping purposes. Definitely worth trying for the price point, I think it's easily as good as some bottles costing 3-4 times as much

OMG THANK YOU. I'm glad I decided to check the replies this morning. I called that number and the poor woman that answered stayed on the line with me for 2 hours to help push my order through. There's still a fraud hold on my account (for reasons I do not understand at all) that'll fall off tomorrow and then hopefully it'll get processed. She waived the activation fee for me too and got me (almost all) the savings I missed out on this weekend. She also made a calendar event to call me back, help me enter the rebates, and ensure all else is good after my phones have been delivered.

Yeah it was a first for me trying to do something like that online. I was really trying to avoid going inside a mall right now, especially Black Friday weekend, but I suppose it may come down to that.

Find a native plant sale! I've found em everywhere I've lived, usually run by local non-profits, botanical gardens, forest preserves, etc. Cheap plants that deal perfectly with your particular climate and nourish native pollinators. I get so many compliments on my garden it's embarrassing because I hardly do anything.

Me too. She had a rough start. When she was rescued, she was underweight, nursing puppies, had awful mange, respiratory infections, missing teeth... She's the sweetest girl in the world, I don't know how anybody could treat her so poorly. We've tried our best to make up for those bad years. <3

It was at an estate sale (thrift stores here suck too). Weirdest impulse purchase I've ever made, no idea if it was a decent price, but I knew I'd regret for some reason it if I didn't bring it home.

Maybe his mom was sick for a while leading up to her death? Before my dad's death, I was busy dealing with hospice, power of attorney, estate planning stuff, and trying to spend as much time with him as possible. Work was definitely not a priority for me. The people that work there have always been super helpful if I want to dig through the bin for something in particular. And most soaps have pretty distinct colors/patterns so you can figure out what's what.

Me too. The people that work there have to help me pick through the bin to find what I'm looking for because the smell is so overwhelming as soon as you walk in I can't smell anything in there. Fortunately I think it all smells pretty good!

It's their factory store. They always load you up with free samples and glasses of prosecco when you go in, I love living so close! I love the frankincense and myrrh soap but haven't tried out the room spray yet.

I adopted a sweet old mama dog a year ago. Don't know too much about her history but when she was first brought into the shelter she was nursing puppies while sick, severely underweight, and her teeth were in awful shape from malnutrition. Makes me worry what she might have been trying to eat so she could still take care of her babies. Mama dogs gonna mom. <3

It takes an insane amount of time and effort to avoid made in China products. My spouse and I have boycotted anything produced there for 7+ years for a number of reasons. You're right, for some items (string lights, almost all electronics) it is nearly impossible. We try to buy second hand in those instances as to not directly contribute to their economy. We did find an Ikea microwave made in the USA a few years back but I think it has been discontinued. Also, New Balance still makes a few styles of shoes in the USA, highly recommend.
