“That you can all of a sudden out of nowhere want to get high with your Substance so bad that you think you will surely die if you don't, and but can just sit there with your hands writhing in your lap and face wet with craving, can want to get high but instead just sit there, wanting to but not, if that makes sense, and if you can gut it out and not hit the Substance during the craving the craving will eventually pass, it will go away — at least for a while.” I mean this is kinda how I feel when I see my dog and want to pet her, but she’s asleep. Too much of a stretch?

She’s perfect! She was so tiny! She was cut off from her mom so I “fostered” her at 3 weeks and fed her every three to four hours. After that, there was no way I was giving my baby up 💕

Agreed. My husband grew up talking about these things (dads a doc, moms a psychiatrist) so I think it just raised a few flags. He has not been pushy just giving his advice, which I appreciate. However I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else had worked through anything similar.

They initially tried me on an antihistamine three times a day but I was just foggy headed and exhausted. He is concerned about the klonopin because of the research he has read said it is addictive but it seems to be working. Have any others worked for you that were non habit forming?

So my future uncle-in-law mailed an early wedding gift for us to my future in laws (his brother’s) house. We went to pick it up and MIL and FIL are both waiting for us, smiling and laughing. They said we *had* to open it there in front of them because he always gives the worst gifts. I thought they were exaggerating, read the accompanying card and it said he was giving us two pieces of grandmothers silver. Open it to find an replica pewter rusted ashtray (we don’t smoke) and a silver painted seashell (actual seashell). Of course MIL and FIL die laughing as soon as they see this and also clarified those were not bubbies. Apparently it’s a thing for him to do this, gave us a nice laugh though! Still sent a thoughtful note expressing our gratitude for the invaluable family heirlooms. After thinking about it though it’s a pretty good gift because it makes us laugh all the time, my husband and I will still wrap it up and give it to each other for holidays or birthdays just to get a laugh.

As a South Carolinian I am so let down. I honestly thought Harrison was going to pull it off. Seeing the margins was definitely a punch to the gut. However I did see and talk to so many people encouraged by Harrison and encouraged to vote, so although SC might only be taking baby steps, at least they are taking steps.

I do not shock my dog. It is a programmable collar by Sports Dog, its programmed to only admit a beeping sound or vibrate. It’s waterproof and I use it to alert her if she is too far down the beach or too far out in the water (we have dangerous currents). She is trained to respond by coming back and receives a tons of treats. I would never shock her, I train by using positive reinforcement.

Thank you, we waited two years. Our local rescue called and asked us if we were still interested (he has a heart condition) and we jumped at the chance. We know she will forever be on our hearts but we have more love to give. We are so excited. Our last one ate through our dining table so we can’t wait to get back into the swing with weim pups!

Story: The man said he took his dog to the flea market and when they walked past the bunny’s cage they bumped noses and the dog refused to leave the side of the cage. The dog stayed planted and kept whining and so he gave in and bought him the bunny. He said that on my way home the dog broke the bunny out of the box and when he opened the trunk they were snuggled up and laying together.
