The secret is just persistence and temptations treats. Lol Clyde is a type of cat that likes to imitate what you do, so we would just use that to our advantage. We started with high five and progressed to wave. He can also do a lot more tricks I’ll share as well!

We started training him at the beginning of the pandemic. He knows how to play dead, roll over, fetch, spin, sit and shake hands. I’m very proud of him. If you work with him everyday during snack time, he usually learns a trick every week. :)

We measured and purchased faux wood blinds from Home Depot. They aren’t cheap (about 50 bucks each for a smaller sized window) but it’s cheaper than replacing the regular blinds over and over again.

We bought correction spray, sprayed the blinds and then left the bottle on the window sill. That HELPED but it didn’t completely cure the issue. But it did indeed help. The best bet is to purchase wooden style blinds.

Omg no, don’t go back there, man. So F’ed up right? That “god told me this or that about you” bullshit makes me want to vomit. She had no right. The whole story is an affirmation you did the right thing. Don’t look back. My pastor was my grandmother. She fucked around on her husband (my moms dad) when my mom was 9 with an evangelist from Canada. She forced my mom to run off with them, with my mom leaving her dad and brother behind. She traveled the country with this new guy and my mother in an old school bus. They preached around the country and would force my mother to fast for weeks at a time. If my mother messed up, they would starve her. One story that held strong in my mind was when my mother was 10, she was forced to fast and she was hitting her 2nd week. Her mother would make a big plate of food and leave it in my mothers room and said “God is testing you.” And my mother wasn’t allowed to touch the food or she would get beaten. It was all so f’ed up.

The first couple weeks weren’t the best for me, but it was better than not having it at all. I’m 5 weeks in and I can tell a huge difference from the 2nd week. Def talk to your doc if it’s not working for you though. It relieved my anxiety almost immediately after the 2nd day.

Yeah don’t give up. You’ll reach a point in a couple months like “why did I ever pick up a cigarette?” I worked at a bar the entire time I quit. It was a slow bar where I had the choice of when I could smoke. I went through 2 packs a day when I drank. Drinking and smoking was one of my fave things. Somehow, having a cigarette in front of me at all times helped. I would say “it’s there if I need it.” It was just comforting to know I had the choice? Lol Then, my boss (a 50 plus year smoker) said “if the girl can do it, so can I.” So he quit. Then, his best friend quit. Then, the bar quit selling cigarettes because none of us were smoking them anymore. I was proud of that chain reaction :)

Hey! It’s basically over! It took me a good 3-4 weeks before I stopped crying. Lol Now it’s been 2 years

Yeah I just looked it up. Make sure you put in the right count and milligrams before getting the price. I just looked up lexapro and Wellbutrin. Lexapro is starting at $3 and Wellbutrin about $9. That’s according to where I live. I really hope this helps you. I know what it’s like to have no or crappy insurance. And if you need a new script, your doc that previously prescribed it will probably call it in for you if you just call. Also, can you apply for Medicaid? Take care!

The yawns are still going on for me but a lot less like way less than half. The first week I yawned like crazy. The nausea I still battle but it seems to help after I eat but even the nausea isn’t nearly as bad as it was the beginning. I’m on 20 mg

I just started on lexapro and I am feeling a little high after my 3rd dose (10 mg), but it’s nothing like Xanax. Xanax helps in the moment for me, but just a short while and I always get a hangover from just one the next day. I feel out of it and sluggish from the lexapro but my anxiety is disappearing. I’m moving in slow motion but I don’t care because for the first time in a while, my anxiety is gone and I am looking at things from a different perspective. Again, I’ve only been on it a couple days but I can tell a difference. I’m not near as jittery.
